Chapter 14
Cursing under her breath, she quickly dialed Bianca’s number.
But no one picked up.
She called again and again, but the result was the same.
Fuming, she slammed her phone onto the floor, shattering it in
frustration.

Meanwhile, Blair remained calm and unruffled, going so far as to protect Winnie from the outburst.
He held Winnie close and turned to Sandra, saying gently, “Let’s go out to eat. I’ll arrange for us to go to the best restaurant in Ylagos.”
Sandra shot him a sharp look. “We’ve always had dinner at home. I even told everyone to come over! Now look at this–no preparation at all. Who knows what’s going on with Bianca? Honestly, I think she’s completely given up on being the wife of the Avery family. She has no sense of occasion!”
From the start, Sandra never had much faith in Bianca. If it weren’t for Blair’s grandmother Amelia Avery pushing for the marriage, she doubted anyone would have accepted Bianca as a daughter–in–law.
Winnie, scared by Sandra’s outburst, shrank into Blair’s arms and stayed silent.
Blair ignored Sandra’s complaints and couldn’t help but wonder if something had happened to Bianca.

He hadn’t been able to reach her yesterday, she hadn’t attended the kindergarten event, and now there was no preparation for dinner…
It didn’t seem like something Bianca would do.
But then again, she was fine, right? She was just a person–what could have possibly happened to her?
In his arms, Winnie couldn’t help but mutter, “Mom didn’t even bother preparing dinner, and she didn’t come to the school–parent event on purpose. She just wanted me to look bad at kindergarten. She’s such a terrible mom. She’s nothing like Diane. Diane would never let me feel like this. I don’t want Mom anymore…”
The Watts family Home.
Bianca hadn’t been back in six months, and the atmosphere felt strangely tense.
The dinner table was set with a feast, most of it made up of Bianca’s favorite dishes.
When Bianca married Blair, her family had opposed the marriage, but she had threatened to cut ties with them, forcing them to accept the union.
Yet after the wedding, Blair had never once returned to the Watts family home with her.
Laurence and Elroy both wore cold expressions. Margie had red eyes, constantly wiping away tears. Lynette wanted to ease the tension but didn’t know where to start. Kellie quietly observed everyone’s reactions.
Just as Bianca was about to stand up and apologize, Elroy suddenly spoke with a sharp tone, “Tomorrow is Rayford’s birthday. Instead of

Each word felt like a jab, but Bianca simply smiled lightly and said, “Elroy, from now on, I’ll only celebrate Dad’s birthday.”
Elroy paused, clearly taken aback. Though he felt concerned, his voice. remained cold. “What kind of stunt is this?”
Bianca replied calmly, “I’ve decided to divorce Blair.”
The room fell even quieter.
Almost everyone’s eyes were fixed on Bianca, all of them in shock.
Lynette, concerned, asked at just the right moment, “What about Winnie’s custody?”
Bianca’s smile faded, and her voice was full of resignation as she said, “Lynette, Winnie doesn’t want to live with me, so I’ve decided to give up custody.”
How could a mother bear to give up her child?
But when she thought of Winnie, the pain in her heart was overwhelming.
Sometimes, it was better not to force things.
Lynette, a mother herself, could easily understand Bianca’s pain. After all, they all knew how much Bianca loved Winnie.
For her to give up custody voluntarily, it was clear that she had reached a breaking point.
Margie became choked with emotion, and Lynette quickly handed her a
