chapter236
He’d been completely drunk then, and she figured most of it wasn’t true.
Elvin turned back, bending to take Bianca’s hand. He pressed her hand against his abdomen, his eyes never leaving her face. “I’m not talking nonsense. Feel my body properly. I can give you a different experience. I promise once you’ve tried me, you won’t think about Blair Avery anymore.”
He was bold and direct, teasing and tempting without restraint.
Bianca tried to pull her hand back, but Elvin held it firmly against his scorching skin. Beneath her palm, she felt the defined ridges of his abdominal muscles.
Her face flushed instantly. Lowering her head, she hissed coldly, “You… you’re shameless.”
Seeing her blush, Elvin couldn’t help but smirk. Releasing her hand, he added, “You look beautiful today.”
After retrieving her hand, Bianca’s heart raced uncontrollably. She sat down on the swing chair.
Without looking at Elvin, she spoke to him, “You look quite handsome today too.”
Elvin laughed at this, joining her on the swing. His laughter was bright and clear. “If you like it, I’ll dress like this every day.”
Bianca didn’t respond, choosing silence instead.

From the banquet hall came the constant sounds of clinking glasses and toasting, laughter and well–wishes.
Remembering it was Jacob Lee’s birthday celebration, Bianca took a few steadying breaths before speaking to Elvin again. “Let’s head back. Uncle Jacob will come looking if he notices we’re missing.”
Leaving before the banquet ended would show disrespect to the host.
They’d been away long enough; it was time to return.
Understanding this, Elvin stood and walked with Bianca toward the banquet hall.
At the entrance, Bianca saw several people toasting Blair Avery.
Diane Huffman stood nearby, glass raised beside Blair.
Someone praised loudly, “Mr. Avery, you’re truly fortunate to have such an exceptional woman by your side. What a perfect match!”
Blair smiled, clinking glasses with the group. After glancing at Diane, he addressed everyone, “Thank you for your kind words.”
Watching this scene, Bianca felt neither sorrow nor joy as she took her seat. Elvin followed and sat beside her.
Seeing them return, Davis quickly poured wine for Bianca. Raising his glass to touch hers, he said, “Sister–in–law, this toast is for you.”
Bianca Watts hadn’t yet figured out Davis’s intention when she saw him down his drink in one go.
Left with no choice, she drained her glass of red wine too.
Seeing her finish, Davis immediately clapped enthusiastically and

boomed, “Bravo! Not only is our sis gorgeous and graceful, but she can hold her liquor too. If Elvin ever steps out of line, just tell me or Matthew. We’ve got your back.”
Bianca knew Davis was standing up for her. Grateful, she offered him a smile and murmured, “Alright, I’ll remember that.”
Davis deliberately raised his voice, ensuring both Blair Avery and Diane Huffman heard. Their gazes naturally drifted over.
Diane noticed Elvin staring at Blair, eyes filled with hostility and resentment.
Watching Elvin’s expression, Diane instinctively pursed her lips.
She figured Elvin must be jealous of Blair–that’s why he was glaring so intently.
Sensing their attention, Davis handed Bianca his business card and proclaimed loudly, “Sis, keep this. If anyone gives you trouble, call me anytime. No need to bother Elvin–I’ll settle it for you.”
Bianca tucked the card away with a soft chuckle. “Thank you.”
Across the room, Blair narrowed his eyes at Bianca. Her lack of refusal or explanation made his brow furrow.
Meanwhile, Diane shot Davis an exasperated look. Was this guy completely clueless?
How could Elvin possibly love Bianca? He clearly had his eyes on her.
