In his memory, Bianca had always been so devoted to Winnie. She would stick by her for even the smallest things, like going to the bathroom, always making sure to spend time with her.
He still remembered one time when he took Winnie to the old house to visit Rayford, and Bianca, upon returning home and not finding Winnie, had panicked and rushed to the old house. When she found Winnie happily eating a chicken leg, she immediately burst into tears.
At the time, Blair had thought she was being overly dramatic.
But now?
Bianca didn’t even glance at Winnie, let alone say anything to her.
If this had been before, she’d have been holding Winnie tightly right now, unwilling to let go.

“Blair?” Diane noticed Blair zoning out and called him back to reality.
Blair snapped back to focus and, with his usual calm demeanor, said, “Let’s go, let’s take our seats.”
After ordering the dishes, Blair glanced over at Winnie, who was sitting closely with Diane, focused on something on her

Even though Winnie couldn’t read yet, she was still trying to help Diane by picking tickets.
And, of course, Diane smelled wonderful, and her fingers were so pretty.
Diane tapped the screen a couple of times, then looked at Winnie a little

helplessly. “Winnie, sweetie, the front row is sold out, but there are second–row tickets left.”
Winnie’s face fell. “What?”
Blair didn’t realize they were talking about tickets for the concert, but he was confident he could take care of it.
As long as Winnie and Diane were happy, he didn’t mind spending whatever it took.
So, he spoke up and said, “Let me handle the tickets.”
When Diane heard this, she quickly explained the situation to Blair. Winnie eagerly agreed, wanting to see Diane perform.
The two of them continued chatting back and forth, while Blair smiled at them. Then, he made a call to Corey.

“Get two front–row tickets for tonight’s concert at the Ylagos Grand Hall.”
Corey didn’t ask any questions. “Understood, Mr. Avery.”

After hanging up, Diane smiled at Blair. “The front–row tickets are expensive, and there are only two. Usually, when I perform, the front row stays empty unless you’re there.”

Even though Diane’s concerts were always packed, she had made the front–row tickets much more expensive than the others. She hadn’t raised the price for anyone else, but for and Winnie, she’d planned to offer them the seats for free if they wanted to attend.

But tonight was different. The two tickets had already been sold.
Diane thought to herself, probably some rich young man trying to impress
someone.

But no matter who it was, in Blair’s presence, it didn’t matter.
Blair’s phone rang–it was Corey calling back.

After answering, Blair said, “Just get it done. No need to call me about
it.”
“Mr. Avery, I couldn’t get the tickets. I contacted the seller, but they refused to sell them.”
Blair frowned. “How could you fail at something this simple? Just offer a higher price, and they’ll sell.”
Corey sighed. “I tried, but they still refused.”

At the hospital entrance, Berry hung up the phone after a conversation about buying the concert tickets at a high price.
Bianca thought he was on a work call, so she patiently waited by his side.
The two of them had walked back from the restaurant, chatting about all sorts of things, including their time in university and mutual friends.
This was the first time since her marriage that Bianca had spoken so much to a man who wasn’t her husband.
When Berry approached her, he smiled and casually suggested, “How about we go to a concert tonight?”
Although Bianca was planning to divorce, she was still married. Her first instinct was to decline, but before she could say anything, Berry spoke up, “Just think of it as helping me unwind.”
After a brief pause, Bianca realized that going to a concert wasn’t such a big deal, especially since they were close friends.

“Alright,” she finally agreed.
Berry smiled warmly. “I’ll pick you up in the evening.”
Bianca nodded. “Okay, I need to get back to work now.‘
After watching her leave, Berry stood under the shade, staring at the spot where she had disappeared, lost in thought for a while.
Then, he smiled, as if he had just found something he thought he had lost The joy in his eyes was obvious.
As he opened the chat history with Dwain, his smile deepened.
Dwain: [Take a look at this girl. I’m thinking of pursuing her.]
The message from Dwain was followed by a photo–one taken after Bianca mentioned returning to Ylagos, and Berry had asked for a group photo.
Dwain: [She’s divorced and has a kid, but that’s okay. I’ll step in as her dad. I’ll treat the child like my own.]

Berry had been shocked when he first saw the photo, then quickly typed: [Divorced?]

Berry’s hand trembled as his eyes began to fill with tears.

For the first time, Berry relaxed his serious expression, though he said with feigned sincerity, “Dwain, this girl isn’t right for you.”

That evening, as soon as Bianca finished work, Berry was already waiting outside the hospital.
They went out for dinner and then took a walk to the Ylagos Grand Hall.
After going through ticket checks, Berry led Bianca to the front row–the best seats in the house.
As the hall filled, the lights dimmed completely.

On stage, a spotlight hit a young woman walking slowly toward the piano. Her white dress accentuated her graceful figure, and although her face was hidden behind a veil, it was clear she was stunningly beautiful.
Bianca watched the stage, and as the woman got closer, she quickly realized it was Diane.
Bianca had spent so much time watching Diane’s videos and seeing her photos in different settings that, with just one glance, she could tell it was her.
Diane was indeed gorgeous, with an amazing figure and impressive talent. Many men in Ylagos admired her.
But beautiful roses were meant to be cherished, and this particular one belonged only to Blair.
The performance began, with Diane playing “Memories of the Rain,” followed by three pieces that stirred a range of emotions in the audience.

She had to admit, the music drew her into the stories behind the pieces.
When the final piece ended, the hall erupted into applause, and voices praised Diane’s performance.
From the second row, Winnie stood up and cheered, “Diane, you’re amazing! So dazzling!”
Her voice was quickly drowned out by louder cheers, so neither Bianca nor Diane heard her.
Blair, however, sat quietly, his gaze soft as it stayed fixed on the stage, unable to focus on anything else.
When Winnie sat back down, she instinctively glanced at the VIP seats where she and her dad usually sat.
Just one glance, and she froze.
Not sure if she had seen it right, she leaned toward Blair, pointing to the direction of Bianca and Berry. “Dad, look over there. Is that Mom?”
