The military doctor glanced at Benjamin, “I’ve practiced medicine for 40 years. I know what I’m talking about with minor issues like this.”
“If you don’t believe me, Benjamin, get a b–ultrasonics.”
Fear flashed in Emily’s eyes, “That’s nonsense!”
“Benjamin, I won’t go. I’m scared.”
But Benjamin insisted, “Let’s get it done. I’d like to see the baby anyway.”
Emily shook her head, “Benjamin, my stomach doesn’t hurt anymore, not at all. Please, let’s not go.”
Benjamin forced a smile, “I haven’t touched you in two months. If the military doctor’s right, we should question whether this child is even mine.”
“Get the b–ultrasonics. It’ll clear your name.”
Utterly desperate, Emily wailed, “I won’t go! I’d rather die than go!”
My dad couldn’t stand her behavior and snapped, “Stop making

The nurse on duty stood respectfully. “Reporting, Benjamin, the medical order was issued by Emily. At that time, Sophia was locked in the ward and only released during the emergency treatment.”

Emily nearly collapsed, wailing. “You’re lying! Benjamin, she must have been bribed.”
The nurse continued calmly.
