Chapter 12 Her Five Brothers
In the luxurious suite, Eliana had woken up. Everything coming into her view was exactly the same as when she left a few years ago.
Turning her head, she saw a bowl of warm soup on the nightstand and a few gorgeous dresses on the bed for her to pick.
Suddenly, she felt a lump in her throat.
She had never been treated like this when she was in Steelville.
“After learning about the plane crash, Grandpa panicked and tried to call you, but he couldn’t reach you no matter how many times he called. He had a sudden heart attack and is still bedridden to this day.”
Steady footsteps rang out, and then a tall, beefy man in black stepped into her bedroom, his presence imposing.
It was Trystan Harrell, her eldest brother who had brought her back from Steelville to Plymbourne.
As the man in charge of the vast Harrell family, he had never let his feelings show
Eliana was utterly worried upon hearing his words. She got out of bed, almost sobbing. “Trystan, Grandpa…”
“He’s resting in bed now and is fine. But you?”
Trystan grabbed her wrist, blocking her way. “Look at yourself. Are you sure you’re gonna see him like this? Have you forgotten your promise to him?”
Eliana stopped in her tracks at once.

Of course, she hadn’t.
She had promised Beckham that if she failed to win Xavier’s heart or even divorced him, she’d stay with the Harrell family and help with the family
business.
She’d even say yes to an arranged marriage with the Gallagher family- another one of the four major families–to expand the Harrell family’s
business.
Why does Trystan suddenly bring this up?” she thought. “Are they planning on my second wedding already?
“I heard the son of the Gallagher family is a notorious playboy.”
She said, almost pleading, “But I just got a divorce. I don’t plan on getting married again soon, Trystan…”
Her voice softened Trystan’s heart at once, and his voice was no longer
that cold.
He was bluffing anyway.
“The Harrell family has never sold off daughters for profit. But you gotta pull yourself together. Before Grandpa recovers fully, you’ll stay by my side as my right hand.”
She knew Trystan wanted her to work at Apollo Group, which was operating under the Harrell Group in Plymbourne.
The family had sent her to study at Thornfort Business School so as to pave her way to Apollo Group.
Yet, she had chosen to go to Steelville to open a designer boutique and pursue her dream, where she fell for Xavier at first sight.
Surely, both Trystan and Beckham had bigger hopes for her.

“OK.” She nodded.
She’d say yes to anything just so that she wouldn’t be forced to remarry right away.
Gazing at her, Trystan nodded.
He both felt sorry for her and was disappointed by her bad choices. Hopefully, her failed marriage could serve as a wake–up call for her.
“Mr. Harrell.”
Just then, someone knocked on the bedroom door and pushed it open.
It was his female secretary. “Mr. Hogan of the Hogan Group in Steelville wants to know about your decision to disqualify them. He’d like to meet with you to talk about it.”
Eliana was stunned. “Trystan…
Trystan was swift and ruthless indeed he had struck at the Hogan family after getting her back.
Xavier seemed indifferent about the exhibition because he was certain nothing unexpected would happen under her watch.
But an unexpected change occurred anyway.
“By doing this, I want you to know that no one can ever pick on the Harrell family’s daughter. You know what to do.”
Knowing she had caught his drift, Trystan patted her shoulder gently before leaving with the secretary.
Meanwhile, he instructed his secretary, “Help Ellie get familiar with. Apollo Group’s industrial parks and all GM assistant duties.”
“Sure thing, Mr. Harrell.”

again.
Eliana heard it. Trystan wanted her to be the GM assistant.
It was second only to the CEO.
Clenching her fists, she swore silently that she wouldn’t fail Trystan again.
“Surprise!”

the next day after Eliana started working in the top–floor office of Apollo Group, a jaunty young man barged in.
