Chapter 3 Avengers

Cyril chuckled. I just can’t stand Cadell.”

I looked at his face as he spoke, and there was a seriousness in his eyes.

I might as well forget it

There was no point in dwelling on it. Either way, this email had been a huge help

If Cyril hadn’t stepped in, fd still be completely in the dark about Cadell’s cheating

I took out the prepared documents from my purse

At first, Cyril barely glanced at them, disinterested. But when he saw the text, his gaze froze immediately

His usual playful attitude shifted, and he quickly read through the whole document, carefully taking in every word

Then I saw his Adam’s apple move slightly. Are you serious?”

I nodded. The shares weren’t going to do me any good, and I didn’t want to have anything to do with the Hartman family. Turning

them into cash seemed far more practical

Besides, this would cause Cadell to lose his status as Hartman Holdingssuccessor. A winwin situationwhy not

Cyril’s eyes flickered slightly. Alright, I won’t shortchange you. Your asking price is too low. I’ll give you 80 million dollars more.”

I was surprised. That’s way above market price.”

As I spoke, Cyril had already transferred the money

A faint smile tugged at his lips. It’s my offer, no strings attached.”

I wasn’t sure if it was just my imagination, but his gaze seemed a littleintense

I nodded, not asking any more questions, and was about to leave when he called after me

Ms. Wenmir, since you’ve done me such a huge favor, let me give you a little tip.”

I looked up at him. He flashed a smile and said, Lorna Hill isn’t single.”

My breath hitched, and I shot my eyes up at him

Cyril seemed pleased with my reaction and handed me his phone, Let’s keep in touch. Aurora, I’ll share whatever I know, free of

charge.”

I couldn’t refuse. The more I knew, the more I could make Cadell suffer

After adding him as a contact, Cyril handed me a business card

He leaned close, whispering in my ear with a smile. This is the guy’s contact info. Aurora, one more thinghe’s got a temper. That man really hates betrayal. He won’t let you down.”

I looked down at the card

The namewhy did it seem so familiar

As soon as Cyril finished speaking, we parted ways

I immediately dialed the number

When I heard that familiar voice on the other end of the line, I finally realizedyes, I knew him

He was the VP of my companyEdmund Cavendish

Cold, ruthless, and a guy who would always pay back any wrong done to him

If Edmund knew that Lorna had betrayed him, his reaction would definitely be worth seeing

With that in mind, I wasted no time and got straight to the point

There was a brief silence on the other end before Edmund coldly asked, “Why should I trust you?”

I understood. After all, I had no solid proof yet

I added him as a friend and sent over most of the evidence I had, including a video of Lorna and Cadell getting busy in our

bedroom

There was a long silence in the chat, and I worried that Edmund might confront Lorna right then and there, which would ruin

everything

I needed to wait until Lorna was at

She deserved no less

I typed to Edmund

at her happiest. That was when I would destroy herit would make it hurt all the more

Aurora: Mr. Cavendish, please stay calm. I understand how hard this is to take, but exposing it now would be too easy on them. Tell me, would you be willing to work with me?”

Two seconds later, Edmund’s reply came through

Edmund: How

I smiled slyly.

Aurora: Tomorrow’s my wedding. Lorna Hill’s affair partner is my fiancé. They want Lorna to be my maid of honor, and the gown. is almost identical to a wedding dress. Mr. Cavendish, here’s what I thinkwe give them the wedding they want, a grand one they’ll never forget.”

Edmund seemed convinced

Edmund: It’s a deal

I grinned, and we quickly discussed the specifics for the next day

A plan full of revenge began to take shape between the two of us

I was already eagerly anticipating the scene tomorrow

After the call with Edmund, I put together a PowerPoint presentation of all the evidence and then printed it out in a booklet to

hand to every wedding guest

Late that night, Cadell seemed to finally realize something was off. He called me, Aurora, have you written the vows yet? Send them over to me, so I don’t mess up tomorrow, fd die of embarrassment if I said the wrong thing.”

I smiled bitterly. Embarrassment

Did he feel embarrassed when he was cheating

And the real humiliation was still to come. This was just the beginning

Don’t worry. I made a card for you, so you won’t forget your lines,” I tried to hide the sarcasm in my response

Cadell immediately replied, sounding touched, You’re so thoughtful. After we get married, I’ll take good care of you.”

I almost laughed aloud. If I didn’t know his true nature, I might have believed he was thoughtful

I brushed him off with a few empty words before hanging up

Cadell seemed to still be gloating about secretly marrying Lorna tomorrow. He even posted an ********: update about finally being with the woman he’d loved since he was young, all excited about it

I gave it a like and commented

Aurora: You won’t be disappointed

The next morning, I arrived at the wedding venue

That was when I finally saw Lorna

She was the bridesmaid but was shamelessly laughing and joking next to the groom, not even trying to hide her obvious affection for him. Cadell, as always, responded warmly, and if you didn’t know better, you’d think she was the bride

I suppressed my gaze and walked to the stage, microphone in hand

With a bright smile, I addressed the crowd, Thank you all for taking the time to attend my wedding with Cadell, I have a little gift

for all of you!”

I signaled for my staff to pass out the booklets I had prepared

As the guests opened them, I saw Cadell’s face immediately turned pale H

must have realized what was happening and

rushed up to the stage to stop me, Auroral What are you doing?!

I smiled slightly at his anger

At the same moment, the large screen behind me flickered to life

What should have been a montage of our sweetest moments was replaced by a series of explicit imagesCadell and Lorna, n***d and entangled

Their faces were clearly visible on the screen for all to see

The room went deathly silent

Lorna and Cadell’s faces were drained of color, and the screen echoed with the sounds of their intimate moments, leaving everyone stunned
