208 Vouchers
It was the second day after Grace left New York.
Sitting in her studio, Antonio kept replaying the interview with her again and again.
The intern asked her, “What about your feelings for Mr. Kaufman?”
She smiled, “I don’t love him anymore.”
Antonio tried to find even the slightest reluctance and unwillingness in her eyes.
But he saw nothing.
Suddenly, Arnold texted him.
“Have you heard? Grace is about to marry Matthew.”
Antonio didn’t believe it. He immediately opened his chat with
Grace.
He wanted to question her but realized he wasn’t in a place to do so.
The last message she sent him was on the day when they went to the courthouse.
He said his assistant would come here to pick her up and take her to the courthouse at 10 a.m., and she replied to him, “OK.”
That was the end of their conversation.

It was like she had vanished from his life for good.

Utterly irritated, he kicked a paper box under the table, and the books inside scattered on the floor.
He keenly noticed a notebook that seemed familiar; it was Grace’s diary.
Stunned for a few seconds, he opened it, and the words she wrote were like a sharp knife, stabbing his heart ruthlessly.
“Antonio told me he loved me today!
“I hope he loves me forever.”
“I tried on my wedding dress today, and the shop assistants all said I was so beautiful, but Antonio wasn’t there, so he didn’t see me in that dress.
“But it’s fine. I’ll surprise him at the wedding!”
“I looked forward to it all day, but Antonio stood me up again.
“It’s my birthday today. I swear I’ll never forgive him!”
“Antonio, I’m tired. I don’t want you anymore.”
His fingertips trembled as he saw she wrote her last diary on the day he proposed the temporary divorce.
“Antonio, are you OK?” Hearing a loud bang, Sienna ran into the studio at once.
Her gaze darkened for a second when she saw the diary in his hand, but soon, she put on her gentle facade again.
“Can I see it?” she asked gently.

Immersed in sorrow and sadness, Antonio said nothing.

She tiptoed to look and happened to see the last page of the diary.
Then she said, “Don’t worry, Antonio.
“Grace loves you so much. She’d never write such things.”
Glancing at Antonio out of the corner of her eye, she saw that he was frowning and then added fuel to the fire. “Maybe she wrote these just to make you feel bad. She wanted you to sympathize with her. Don’t fall for it.”
As she was about to continue, Antonio couldn’t bear to listen anymore. Suppressing the anger rising within him, he shut the diary heavily.
Then he stood up to leave. After he took a few steps, he turned around and said to her coldly, “You should move back to the hotel tomorrow.
“Grace will be upset if she knows.”
Immediately, the smile on Sienna’s face froze.
By the time she came back to her senses and chased after him, he had already gone downstairs; he left so hastily that he didn’t even put on his coat.
Because right now, he only had one thing in mind–he’d go and see Grace and take her back home.
