“I’m different. No one cares about my family. Whether Grandpa likes me or not, the result is always the same,” Homer said with a friendly smile, his eyes squinted, looking as if he would not harm anyone.
“I just feel that we have similar experiences and can help each other in the future,” he continued.
“Okay,” Ash responded calmly, lacking enthusiasm.
Homer’s smile remained unchanged as he patted Ash’s shoulder. “Don’t be afraid on the first day of school tomorrow. I will accompany you.”
“Sure.”
Ash could not deny that Homer was a warm person. However, Ash was used to being aloof, so she did not particularly enjoy Homer’s warmth.
Ash woke up early the next day, freshened up, and went downstairs.
Zelda and Sandra had already put on their aristocratic school uniforms. They stood there without talking, exuding an air of elegant young ladies.
But, once Sandra opened her mouth, it revealed her true colors. Her seemingly elegant facade shattered instantly, and she immediately appeared harsh and vulgar. “Butler, arrange another car. I don’t want to share a car with this country bumpkin!”
“Very well, Miss Sandra.”
“Sis, let’s go!” Sandra pulled Zelda away.
Zelda waved to Ash. “Ash, we’ll head to school first. We’ll wait for you there.”
“Sure.” Ash nodded.
After Sandra and Zelda left, the butler brought Ash’s breakfast and apologized, “Mr. Ash, I’m really sorry. The chauffeur on duty this morning arranged for someone else. I’ve already called the other chauffeurs, and one will be here soon. But considering the time, you might be late.”
“It’s fine,” Ash said nonchalantly, sitting on the nearby sofa.
However, not long after, they heard a car horn outside the door.
The butler looked surprised, “Mr. Ash, perhaps the chauffeur arrived early.”
“OK,” Ash said, getting up with a mouthful of egg.
As she walked out of the castle, she suddenly stopped in her tracks.
The butler behind her was even more stunned. “Mr. Homer, why is it you?”
Homer was driving a Porsche convertible, wearing sunglasses, and looked very laid–back, He patted the passenger seat and whistled at Ash. “Didn’t we agree I’ll accompany you to school today?”
Instead of opening the car door, Ash leaped and sat in the passenger seat.
She initially thought Homer was joking, casually saying it without much thought, but she did not expect him to be serious,
“Buckle up. We’re off!” Homer said, a slight grin on his face, in a good mood.
The butler looked hesitant, “Mr. Homer, don’t you have filming to rush to today? Shouldn’t we let the chauffeur handle this matter?”
“Nonsense! It’s my business. When did it become your place to dictate?” Homer retorted.
“My apologies, the butler mumbled, but Homer stomped on the gas pedal before he could finish.
The car roared loudly and left a trail of exhaust fumes that sprayed onto the butler’s face, leaving him covered with soot.
Seeing the butler’s unfortunate state through the rearview mirror, Ash could not help but chuckle.
“At least you laughed,” Homer said, glancing at Ash from the corner of his eye. Seeing her amused, his mood improved as well.
“These servants are so snobbish. You’re all alone in the Feron family, vulnerable to bullying. But don’t worry, with me around, they won’t be able to harm you.”
Because of the car’s speed, Homer had to raise his voice to speak.

Ash glanced at him and pursed her lips. Her impression of Homer had slightly changed at this moment.
At this moment, she finally understood the meaning behind Homer’s words from last night. “We have similar experiences, and we can help each other.” When Homer said these words last night, she did not take them seriously, but now, she truly comprehended what he meant and knew that he was not joking.
