The courtyard was suddenly in chaos as the servants gathered around, keeping a deliberate distance from Ash, afraid to provoke him

Ash blew on the smoking barrel of her gun, feeling satisfied with the performance of this firearm King had given her

It was truly a fantastic tool, especially for dealing with these kinds of small fries

She holstered the gun back at her waist without sparing a glance at the people around her and walked straight toward the mansion’s main entrance. The servants stepped aside, making way for her

Everyone present was dumbfounded. According to their knowledge, Ash had been living in the countryside all along and was only brought back home now. They could not comprehend why a young man who had been living in the countryside would have a gun in his possession

If it was not for the fact that the gun had actually injured the dog, they would have thought it was just a toy gun

The onlookers did not think it was anything good for Ash to have a gun, nor did they find him impressive. Instead, they suspected that Ash was up to no good, perhaps involved in some shady business, doing nefarious things like murder and arson

If that were the case, the Feron family was in for trouble. They believed that someone as dangerous as Ash would certainly stir up chaos in the household in the future

A few minutes later, Ash stood inside the grand hall of the mansion

Sirena and Elizabeth Feron were already seated in the grand hall. In this estate, the stewardship was in the hands of Wayne’s second son, Dwayne, and his wife, Sirena, so Sirena occupied the most distinguished seat

Sirena was Wesley’s mother, so she was Ash’s aunt

Ash had already gathered clear and concise information about all the members of the Feron family and had an extraordinary memory that allowed her to remember all the complicated family relationships

Wayne, Ash’s grandfather, had three sons and two daughters

Wayne’s first wife passed away early, and Wayne remarried twice

Wayne’s first son had a tumultuous life and tragically passed away along with his wife in a car accident a long time ago, leaving their son, Brad Feron, to face the world alone

Thus, the responsibility of taking care of the family affairs fell to Sirena

Dwayne, Wayne’s second son, and Sirena had one son, Wesley, who was the de facto leader of the entire Feron Group

As for Norman, Wayne’s third son, he did not have much talent. He and his wife Elizabeth had two sons, Homer and Truman Feron

Finally, there were the two daughters of Wayne, Thea Feron and Chelsea

In summary, Wayne had seven grandchildren, and Ash was the fifth among them

Because Ash killed Sandra’s beloved dog, Chelsea joined Sandra in sobbing. They demanded that Sirena uphold justice

Auntie, you’ve got to help me out here. This darn country bumpkin killed my beloved Darky. I’ve been taking care of Darky for seven years, treating it like family. What he did is no different from killing my own relative.”

Sandra was weeping, looking particularly heartbroken

Sirena sat calmly, sipping her coffee from a cup

She sized up Ash and furrowed her brow. “How can a kid from the countryside like you have such a terrible thing as a gun in your hands? Tell me, where did you get the gun from?”

Ash stood straight, not offering an explanation. The gun was given to her by King, and she used it often back in Maqiland. However, guns were not forbidden there, unlike here. That was why when she fired that shot, it caused such a commotion and panic. She regretted it a bit. She should have fought the vicious dog barchanded instead of using the gun. The moment she fired it, so many troubles arose

What? Not willing to talk? Fine. You’re just back home and already causing trouble. You’re such a handful. You like playing with guns, huh? Before you end up in jail, let me educate you on behalf of your deceased parents so that you won’t stray down the wrong path.”

Sirena slammed the cup down on the table, assuming the demeanor of a matriarch

Butler, bring the whip

Yes”

Soon, the butler came over, holding a horsewhip in his hands

Sirena took the whip and gave it a little shake in her hand

This whip has been with your grandfather for decades. He’s not well and lying in the hospital. Today, I’ll teach you a lesson on his behalf.”

Upon hearing Sirena’s words, Sandra felt satisfied. She knew Sirena would be on her side

Ash had already known that the women of the Feron family were no pushovers, but she did not expect them to be this ruthless

It was Sandra who set the dog to attack. That vicious beast could have killed someone for real. Yet, Sirena, as the head of the family, did not even bother to ask and instead wanted to punish Ash. From start to finish, the focus was solely on Ash using the gun to kill the dog without even considering Sandra’s wrongdoing. What was even more laughable was that they justified it by claiming it was to teach Ash to follow the rules and avoid going down the wrong path

The most crucial part was that there were dozens of people in the hall, but not a single one stood up to speak a word in her favor

Now Ash understood why Thea left the Feron family back then, choosing to elope with a chauffeur rather than staying here

Since everyone was ganging up on her like this, she did not plan on putting up with it

This day, she would create a scene in the Feron family
