Harley felt her mind go blank, until Harold wiped away the tears from her face, and only then did she snap out of it.
Harold untied the rope on her hands and handed her a handkerchief.
“It’s okay, I was there, don’t be afraid.”
Harley reached out and embraced Harold, burying their head in his chest.
It is false to say that she was not afraid, her legs were still trembling.
She was not afraid of death, but afraid of her efforts going in vain, afraid of opening her eyes again and everything returning to square one, with nothing changed.
The experiences of the past life were like a venomous snake tightly coiling around her. She had awakened from countless nightmares, and reassured herself countless times, telling herself not to be defeated.

Harold felt the warm liquid sliding down Harley’s face, but he didn’t say anything. He just silently held Harley tightly.

Harley looked at the woman sitting on the ground beside her.
“Did you do it?”
The woman sneered and slowly stood up.
Harold immediately shielded Harley behind him, staring at the woman with a vigilant expression.
“I had intended to use you to force them to comply, but the plan failed unexpectedly.”
“It doesn’t matter, I didn’t have anything worth cherishing anyway.”
A wild smile appeared on the woman’s face.
“Harley, I hope your future will be like mine,
After saying these words, she grabbed the dagger and stabbed herself in the chest without hesitation, her movement was so fast that no one had
time to react.
Blood splattered as the woman fell in front of everyone, her eyes still staring directly at Harley.
Harold was worried that Harley would be scared, so he wanted to send Harley away first and then come back to deal with the woman’s body.
Unexpectedly, Harley walked directly to the woman’s side and closed her

The three of them first went to the nearby police station and explained the situation to the police. After completing the statement, Harold wanted to invite Harley to have dinner together, but was stopped by Joaquin.

Harley glanced at Harold and then nodded.

Joaquin shifted his gaze onto Harold.
“Can I talk to him alone?”

at her.

Seeing this, Harley couldn’t say anything more and could only nod, taking a step back first.
After Harley’s figure disappeared, Harold turned around and looked directly at Joaquin.

Harold chuckled.
“This sentence should have been said by me, right? Why do you, the person who caused so much pain to Harley, still have to appear in front of her?”
Joaquin pursed his lips and did not answer Harold’s question, but instead. warned him.
“I could tell that you were interested in Harley, but you were too young to take care of her properly, so it’s better to dismiss this idea early on.”
As if he heard a joke, Harold snorted.
“Are you saying that you could take care of Harley?”
“If you could really do it, I wouldn’t be the one staying by Harley’s side.

Harold’s words successfully ignited Joaquin’s anger.

He suppressed his anger and kept telling himself to stay calm, finally managing to calm down reluctantly.
Before, I misunderstood Harley, but I have now learned the truth of the matter and will not do anything to hurt him again.

The final lunch box was given to the homeless man near the school by Harley.
On the third day, Joaquin picked some more flowers and gave them to Harley.
But Harley was allergic to pollen, even though the flowers were quickly thrown away by Harold, Harley still developed a small rash on his body and was taken to the clinic.
In the clinic, Joaquin wandered around Harley’s ward door for a while. Finally, he made up his mind to go in and visit Harley, but he was stopped by Harold coming out from inside.
