you again, remember to let me know. In Paris, I can protect you.”
Chapter 14
Terence, indeed, did not give up. I don’t know how he found out the address of her studio, but the next day he sent a large bunch of lilies of the valley.
He did know her and remembered her favorite flower.
But I didn’t know her well enough, thinking that she would come back.
Amanda calmly gave instructions after staring at the flowers for a while.
“Everyone go back, if we can’t find anyone, just let the flower shop handle it.”
The hired assistant nodded and left, holding the flowers.
The next day, not only did she receive flowers, but she also received a jewelry necklace.
The assistant had a worried expression on their face.
“Flowers can wither, but what about jewelry?”
Amanda sighed and finally made that phone call.
“Terence, let’s talk.”
From the moment he received her call, Terence began counting the days in anticipation.
He got ready early in the morning, styled his hair, and put on the white shirt that Amanda liked the most. He held a bouquet of lilies and went to
the appointment.
Amanda sat in the coffee shop, watching as he pushed the door open. momentarily lost in thought.
I liked seeing you in a white shirt, simple and clean, which made my boyfriend look extra handsome!
“Is that so? Then I will wear it for you every day.”
The past scene dissipated before his eyes, replaced by Terence’s slightly nervous gaze.
“Amanda…”
He placed the flowers on the table and pushed all the documents he brought to her.
“These were all my assets, which have been transferred to your name afterwards. And as for that wedding… I have made arrangements for it again. I will also make Abigail repay all the grievances you have suffered. So… can you give me another chance?”
Amanda looked for a moment, blinked her eyes, and held back that little.
bit of tears.
How foolish she was to make him think that she would stay in the same place waiting for him.
This belated sincerity, she no longer needed.
Amanda shook her head, pushed the documents back, and handed the jewelry to him again.
“Terence, stop wasting your time.”
She stood up and, finally, glanced at the bouquet of lilies before preparing to leave. However, her wrist was grabbed by Terence.
He looked at her eagerly, appearing somewhat humble, “Now, don’t you even give me a chance to pursue you?”
“Terence!”
A shout broke the stalemate between the two, and Abigail ran over, throwing herself into Terence’s arms, her face filled with joy.
“Fortunately, the assistant knew where you were. I had been looking for you for a few days.”
Terence quickly pushed the person away and cautiously glanced at Amanda, his face looking unpleasant.
“Who let you out?”
Abigail pitifully let go and took out a pregnancy test result from her bag, deliberately glancing at Amanda.
“It was my aunt who, upon knowing that I was pregnant, insisted on bringing you back and even mentioned arranging a wedding for us.”
Seeing that note, Amanda’s body shook, as if she had returned to that day. again, her lips turning pale.
If there hadn’t been that accident, her child would have been born soon.
Terence obviously also thought of this, subconsciously supporting her, with a pained expression.
“Amanda, we would have children.”
Amanda glanced at Abigail, who was provoking her, and shook her head
gently.
“There wouldn’t be.”
Without looking at Terence’s expression, she dodged his hand.
“Since we were getting married, please let me go.”
Almost at the same time, the telephone rang.
Terence glanced at his phone impatiently and asked, “Mom, what’s the matter?”
The voice of Lily Keller’s questioning came through the phone.
“Did you go to see that woman again? Mom had already said that she was not a decent person. Leaving and still causing such a mess in our family, it’s embarrassing to prioritize a woman over our home and company!”
