Chapter 22
Paris‘ annual business exchange fair was held as scheduled, and almost all the prominent figures, from financial tycoons to rising stars in the
business world, were invited to the event.
Among a
ng a crowd of blond–haired and blue–eyed faces. Amanda, with her black hair and black eyes, caught everyone’s attention. Her achievements were even more impressive than her striking appearance.
In just three short years, a brand–new women’s brand was established, not only gaining immense popularity in France but also successfully expanding into overseas markets, ultimately reaching the top of the Forbes list for individuals under the age of thirty
Even though she looked so young, no one dared to ignore her.
Amanda was wearing a green silk spaghetti strap long dress, looking bright and elegant. She smiled and clinked glasses with the executives who came over to chat, showing a confident and graceful demeanor in
every gesture.
Just as the wine glass was about to reach the lips, it was stopped by a hand, and a figure appeared in front.
Calvin stood in front of her, raising his glass to toast with the boss, “Long time no see, I’ll drink this glass for her.”
The other person raised an eyebrow and joked, “Well, I’ll fulfill your hero saves the beauty fantasy. When is the wedding? I want to sit at the head table.”
Amanda blinked her eyes, feeling a little embarrassed at first, but upon
seeing Calvin’s slightly flushed ears, she became quite at case.
For the past few years, Calvin has been by her side, gentle and reliable, but he never asked for a commitment.
Even when the wedding planner, who had been changed in the first place, called to ask, Calvin simply said to cancel it directly. He didn’t want her to hastily marry like that.
At that moment, Amanda felt relaxed.
She was hurt too deeply by her previous relationship, and she had no desire to date, even though she knew he was a good person, but she was afraid he would regret it.
Over the past few years, she has also hinted a few times about whether or not to cancel the engagement, but Calvin just played dumb.
Originally, Amanda thought it would be nice to continue in this way of getting along. However, seeing that Calvin was already in his thirties and the family was anxious but hesitant to urge him, Amanda couldn’t help but soften her heart.
She had also been tempted, but she dared not gamble with human nature again.
But if it was Calvin, Amanda would be willing to give it another try.
After seeing off the others, she tugged at his sleeve and asked quietly.
“How did you come? Didn’t you say you didn’t have time to attend today’s party“?”
Calvin glanced at her helplessly, took the wine glass from her, and then unbuttoned his own suit jacket to drape it over her.
“Busy person, even forgot your own birthday. Uncle and Aunt are still waiting for you at home to have dinner.”
Amanda paused for a moment, as if she had just remembered the matter, and nodded apologetically.
“Then let’s go back, we have almost finished talking here.”
The coat still retained his body temperature, warm and cozy, and there was also a familiar scent in the breath, the perfume she had given him before. Since then, he had never changed it.
Amanda’s heart instantly calmed down, and she took the initiative to break through that layer of window paper.
“Calvin, when did we get married?”
The man held her tightly, his eyes fixed on her without blinking, with deep and profound gaze.
“Anytime you were willing, you could.”
Over the past three years, he had been secretly preparing for the wedding. and Amanda knew about it. Therefore, she just smiled and let him hold her hand.
Those who are attentive, without you mentioning it, they would also secretly prepare everything. In the end, it is nothing more than a difference between love and not loving.
In the villa, Anne immediately showed a smile on her face when she saw two people holding hands.
“Brynn, hurry up and serve the dishes, our daughter and son–in–law have
returned!”

Brynn sighed and hurried to the kitchen, but couldn’t help but secretly wipe away her tears.
Amanda smiled at them, and this time her parents could really relax.
The family sat around the table, with a cake placed in the middle. Amanda closed her eyes and heard them singing the birthday song. She couldn’t help but feel a twinge in her nose.
She raised her head slightly, held back the tears in her eyes, and then
blew out the candle in one breath.
Anne pushed a bowl of longevity noodles over, saying, “Quick, have a taste, it’s still hot.”
Amanda subconsciously took it and then furrowed her brow.
Very salty.
She looked at Calvin, who seemed slightly nervous, and couldn’t help but laugh.
“Did you make it yourself?”
Calvin laughed helplessly, “It seems that my skills are still not up to par, but you can rest assured that the food is safe to eat, with my uncle watching over it.”
He took out a bouquet of flowers and a gift from behind the sofa, looking
serious.
“Happy birthday, and also, I loved you.”
Amanda blushed as she took it and couldn’t resist kicking him, “Our parents are still here.”

She opened the gift box, expecting it to be a necklace, but to her surprise. it was a diamond ring, and she was momentarily stunned.
“You…”
Calvin rubbed her head, speaking in an indulgent tone.
“I was originally planning to have you help me keep it, but now I can use it directly.”
The two old people exchanged a glance and laughed so much that wrinkles were about to appear.
“Alright, when are your parents available? Let’s arrange a date to meet.”
