Terence watched as she walked towards Calvin, listening to him mutter.
“I was told to accompany you on stage. What if there are so many people and they start pushing? The baby will start bothering you again.”
Amanda leaned in his arms, smiling sweetly.
“What’s the matter? How would it look if you and I went on stage. together, and besides, I have to be careful, he’s only a few months old, who knows so much.”
With a loud bang, there was a flash of lightning and thunder.
The pea–sized raindrops fell down, instantly drenching Terence into a chicken soup.
He stood in place, letting the rain wash over him, staring blankly as Calvin protected her and helped her into the car, their actions intimate.

With the rain, he seemed to hear the voice of Amanda from his student days, and the scenes from that time appeared before his eyes, frame by
