Matteo’s gaze immediately fell on Yunia.[]
Joannie suddenly burst into tears: “Matteo! Save me! You said you loved me most!“]
Yunia watched him quietly, wanting to see if he would continue this act even in a life–or–death moment.[]
Matteo’s expression changed several times before he finally closed his eyes: “…Release Joannie on the right.“]
The robber shoved Joannie aside and grabbed Yunia to leave.[]
Joannie suddenly pulled out her phone: “I already called the police! They’ll be here any minute!“]
“Bitch!” The robber flew into a rage and raised his knife to stab Yunia, who was being held hostage![]
“Thud–“[]
One stab, two stabs, three stabs…]
Blood gushed out as Yunia’s abdomen was instantly soaked in red.[]
She collapsed in a pool of blood, her vision gradually blurring.[]
In her final moments of consciousness, she saw Matteo rushing over like a madman, screaming her name hoarsely-
“Yuni!!”

Yunia didn’t know how long she had been unconscious.
She felt like she was sinking in darkness, occasionally hearing muffled voices but unable to open her eyes.]
Finally, she struggled to lift her heavy eyelids, the harsh white light making her instinctively squint.[]
“…Yunia must be heartbroken this time. Matteo, are you going to keep acting?“]
She heard the voice of Matteo’s friend nearby.
Yunia’s whole body stiffened, but she remained silent, continuing to pretend to sleep with her eyes closed.[]
“Yeah, you’ve been playing this game long enough. Time to stop.” Another person lowered his voice persuasively. “Since you love Yunia and said you were just playing around with Joannie, break it off with Joannie and return to Yunia’s side.“[]

The room fell silent for a long time. Yunia could feel a gaze fixed on her that didn’t move away for quite a while.[]
