Chapter121
The jade pendant in front of me looked exactly the same as before, no difference at all.
Paulette took a deep breath and carefully took it out.
“Can this still be worn normally?”
of
“Of course.”
Paulette just held in her hands, not saying a word for a while.
Jeremiah was a bit worried about her emotions, so he took a step forward and said, “Paula, you…”
Before he could say anything, he was suddenly engulfed in a hug, the girl smelled of natural shower gel, holding him tightly around the waist.
“Jeremiah, thank you.”
Paulette’s eyes welled up uncontrollably, and her nose felt sour.
She hugged him tighter again, and in a hoarse voice said, “Thank you for appearing in my life, and thank you for helping me find the most important thing.”
“I should thank you,” the man’s deep baritone voice in the night, like at warm current balancing the cold of winter, “Paulette, it’s a pleasure to meet you.”
Paulette curved her lips and nodded softly.
“Alright, go to sleep.”

Chapter121
“Okay.”
With a sigh, she still held her tightly.
After a while, Jeremiah felt a bit helpless and raised his hand to pat her on the back of the head, “Okay, it’s your turn to move.”
What’s the difference between this tone and teasing kids?
Paulette thought to herself, but couldn’t hide the smile on her face.
She lifted her head from the man’s chest, her cheeks blushing pink as if they could squeeze out water, “What about you? Aren’t you going to sleep?”
“How, you want me to go with you?”
She didn’t say that!
Paulette stared with her eyes wide, her puffy face looking like an angry pufferfish.
Jeremiah chuckled, his tongue licking over his teeth with a mischievous and charming look, “Alright, enough teasing. I still have some work to finish, you go ahead and sleep.”
“Well, hurry up.”
Paulette felt weird after saying that, then she added, “Take it slow, it’s
fine.”

Why does it sound weirder the more you talk?
She wished she could bite off her tongue, stop saying anything, and quickly walked out.
The girl ran away in a panic, Jeremiah had a smile on his face, watching her close the door before slowly looking away.
Paulette went back to her room and lay on the bed. After a while, her heart was still pounding.
She stared at the ceiling, zoning out, with lots of images flashing on the wallpaper with prints, from childhood to adulthood, all about Jeremiah.
I used to think he was bad.
Now it seems, it was just a big boy’s prank after all.
What did he always want him to do?
Paulette shook her head heavily, wanting to get rid of those images in her mind as soon as possible. She raised the jade pendant in her hand, with a smiling Buddha, saving all beings.
“Mom, I’m going to marry him.”
“He was really a good person.”
“Will you bless us, right?”
The air was silent, no one answered, it was like a silent affirmation.
Paulette took a photo in this pose, opened Instagram which she hadn’t checked for a while, thought for a moment, and wrote a caption.
“I want to rewrite memories with you, starting from the day you picked up my soul.”

This Instagram didn’t block anyone.
Not long after, a bunch of likes and comments started popping up one after another below.
Cecilia: “Wow, it’s the first time I’ve seen Ms. Davenport showing off her love. Looks like something good is coming!”
Collin: “Wow, this dog food is so filling!”
Maxine: “Paula, when did you bring your boyfriend back for me to see?”
Matthew: “Paulette, you… have a boyfriend?”
Jeremiah: “Okay.”
Paulette snapped her fingers, and this guy…
She couldn’t contain her smile, it took a while before she returned to the chat screen. Someone had just sent a message, and it was none other than the long–lost Patricia.
“Paulette, can we chat?”
Paulette stared at the message for a while and replied, What do you want
to talk about?
Patricia: “I saw your Instagram, are you really in a relationship? Congratulations.”
Paulette: What do you want to say?
“Nothing much… I just did some things that made you unhappy before because of a moment of impulse. I apologize to you.”
Chapter121
“Nelson always treated you as his stepdaughter. When I marry him, we
will be a family. I hope we can let bygones be bygones and not let those little things affect our relationship.”
Feeling?
Did she have a thing with Patricia?
Paulette sneered and didn’t reply.
About ten minutes later, Patricia sent another message, this time with a hint of moral blackmail.
She said, “I was about to get engaged to Ne
Nelson, he supported you for so long, you should come, right?”
