Chapter122
Are you going?
Paulette thought, There’s nothing I can’t do.
From the bottom of my heart, if it wasn’t for Patricia causing so much. trouble, if it wasn’t for Nelson wrongly accusing her without asking for reasons… several times, she wouldn’t have ended up where she is now.
Paulette replied with a Hmm, and didn’t say anything else.
New messages kept popping up on Instagram, she replied with a few words, then turned off her phone and went to sleep.
Three in the morning.
A sudden ringtone from the phone.
Paulette frowned and pulled out her phone from under the pillow.
“Hello.”
There was no sound from the other side.
Only heavy breathing came through.
Paulette vaguely sensed something, her foggy mind gradually clearing up. She brought the phone to her eyes, and there it was, a familiar number – Nelson, no doubt.
She didn’t say anything, waiting for the other person to speak.
Quite a while.
Chapter 127
The man’s low, hoarse voice rang out, “Paulette.”
“Why did you have to go against me?”
“Good boy, okay?”
“To make me angry, she even made up a boyfriend… and a soul, ha, what is your soul? So young, thinking about those irrelevant things all day.”
Rather than say he was questioning Paulette, it’s more like he was talking to himself.
Paulette listened to these, feeling calm inside.
Nelson must have seen that Instagram post, thinking she posted it on purpose for him to see.
But…
“Did you drink alcohol?”
“Yeah, I drank.”
Nelson said in a deep voice, “Paulette, one day you will come to me and. apologize sincerely.”
He hung up.
Paulette looked at her silent phone, feeling amused and frustrated..
Where did Nelson get the confidence from?
Was she really just a ten–year–old kid?
Paulette stretched out her body, looked up at the ceiling, and sighed.
Chapter122
Maybe Nelson didn’t do a great job, but it’s a fact that he raised her. Until she repays this kindness, she can’t be completely indifferent to him.
So, how can we pay it off?
Thinking about this question, Paulette fell asleep again.
The next morning, Larissa went to visit her relatives in the countryside, and breakfast was made by Jeremiah.
When Paulette came out, he had just taken off his apron. The man wast wearing a silver–gray shirt and matching casual trousers. He looked extremely gentle and restrained today, but his casual and lazy hair added a touch of nobility to his temperament.
Her eyes were deep and bright.
She was stunned, and forgot to say hello for a moment.
“Watch out for the drool.”
Paulette was fooled by him again.
The longer they spent together, the more she could figure out his true colors. Anyway, he was just a smooth talker, so she just needed to be shameless like him.
She pulled out a chair and sat down, “Saliva is a sign of respect for Mr. Swanson’s cooking, you know?”
Jeremiah raised an eyebrow in surprise, then noticed that the girl was already eating breakfast.
Slow and steady, like chewing wax.

Clearly not focused.
His dark eyes dimmed, he picked up an egg with his long fingers and cracked it, saying casually, “How did you sleep last night?”
The girl shrugged, pretending like nothing had happened, “Not bad.”
“Not bad, huh?”
Paulette looked up and saw Jeremiah with a slight smile on his lips, his eyes seemed to be reading her mind.
She put down the half–eaten corn in her hand and sighed.
“Fake, had a very tiring dream.”
“What’s up?”
Jeremiah put the plain eggs in her plate, “You don’t have to say anything, just a dream, shouldn’t affect your mood. Eat the eggs.”
Paulette stared at him for two seconds, then picked up the egg and took a bite. Sweet and moist, just right.
It didn’t really affect my mood at all, it’s just that my relationship with Nelson was stuck there, plus a troublemaker like Patricia…
Although it wasn’t enough to bother her too much, it was still a bit of a
nuisance.
“Yesterday, Nelson called me.”
She started to speak, then suddenly felt there was nothing more to say, shook her head and said, “I live in Crireton now, that’s all there is to it.”

Paulette was telling Jeremiah, and also reminding herself.
Nelson only has the favor of raising her left, she will repay it as soon as possible.
Paulette gulped down half a glass of milk after stuffing the last egg into her mouth, picked up the bag next to her, and said, “I’m off to work! Take your time eating!”
“I gave it to you-”
“No. I’ll drive myself!”
In the blink of an eye, the girl was nowhere to be seen.
Jeremiah couldn’t help but chuckle, his eyes glancing at the unfinished breakfast across from him, then suddenly freezing.
