Chapter 32
After a long period of training, Joshua’s legs slowly began to recover.
Although still walking relatively slowly now, the traces of the leg injury are no longer very noticeable.
Winter is coming soon. Although the weather is still often sunny, the temperature has dropped close to zero degrees.
The days when a breath would produce a puff of white mist.
But Caroline and Joshua were busy preparing for the wedding.
After going through so much together, the two of them enjoyed the feeling of preparing for their wedding little by little.
They had been looking forward to this wedding for so long that they didn’t want to rely on others at all. The process of preparing together was also filled with happiness.
The basic process and items are all ready, the wedding is just around the corner. They are trying on wedding dresses today.
Remembering the last time he saw Caroline in a wedding dress, Joshua was still very nervous.
Caroline was trying on wedding dresses inside, while Joshua, who had already changed into his suit, was pacing nervously in the room, making the nearby shop assistants couldn’t help but laugh.
“Mr. Kimble, don’t worry, Ms. Rennie will be out soon. Please have a
seat for a moment.”
“Don’t laugh. Joshua said, rubbing his forehead. He knew he looked disheveled, but he was just nervous. “If I could sit still, I wouldn’t be pacing back and forth like this.
“You go out first, he said. feeling awkward afterwards as Joshua rudely kicked the person out.”
The shop assistant nodded with a smile.
Watching the shop assistant walk out, Joshua turned around, only to find that the fitting room door had been pulled open.
She walked out slowly, the gracefully curved strapless design accentuating her slender waist. as if it could not resist a touch. Her long black hair, elegantly pulled up. complemented the snow–white wedding dress, outlining perfect curves. The fluffy hemline had delicate folds, and the white veil gently swayed with each step, resembling a fairy gliding in the dim yellow light.
Joshua took a deep breath and looked into her eyes, shining like stars, full of smiles. Unable to control himself, he walked over and embraced her, lowering his head to touch noses with her.
“Carol, you looked so beautiful.”
Joshua lovingly kissed her forehead, the tip of her nose, and then covered her lips. The orange sunset shone on them through the
window as they kissed in the setting sun.
This time, they finally got together.

The Devil’s Fire
I looked in the mirror, giving a nod to myself as I was pleased with how I looked. I was wearing a long black backless silk dress with thin straps, the front was a deep v–plunge neckline that showed quite a bit of my cleavage. The dress was tight from the top and got a little loose from the hips as there was a long split on the right side, stopping mid–thigh. I finished the look with a pair of open–toe black stilettos with straps around the ankle. I did a simple brown smokey eye which complimented my green eyes and had them look a bit cat–like. I decided to let my long curly and heavy brown hair be as it was, but with a rhinestone leaf design clip to lift some of the hair away from my face on the right side.
I kept fiddling with my hands before I forced them to keep still as I took a deep breath. Nervousness was filling my body.
‘Get it together. What’s the worst that can happen?” I asked myself,
building up the courage to leave my hotel room. The worst that could
happen was my father being angry at me for showing up and throwing me out…. My eyes widened and my face paled. I hadn’t actually thought that vas a possibility until now.
quickly shoved that thought away. I was here for Cara, not him, and here was no way I would let that stop me from attending her engagement party. I have always been close to Cara as we basically grew up together n the same household since both of our fathers were running a business ogether. Long story short, I found out my father and Uncle were runnin.
