Ethan froze, looking at me anxiously, fearing I’d say yes. I sneered.
“You found out the truth, so I have to forgive
you? I’m not a toy you can discard and pick
up again. I’m not a fool waiting for you.”
Then, to Ethan’s surprise, I showed him my
hand, intertwined with his. “This is Ethan, my
boyfriend.”
“He’s good to me. I cherish him. Leave.”
Ethan, smiling, put his arm around me. “Mr.
Grant, Lily is my girlfriend. Don’t bother her.”
Derek’s eyes widened. “Impossible! Lily,
you’ve been tricked! He’s just taking
advantage of you!”
