Chapter 20
Jeffrey stood in place for a long time.
It felt as if the whole heart had been pierced by something, causing unbearable pain.
His face also gradually became paler and paler, looking as if he was about to collapse.

Albert saw the situation and could only pat his shoulder, sincerely saying, “Since it has come to this, maybe both of you should look forward.”
With that, he took the first step and walked inside.
He didn’t say much, but knowing Jeffrey’s personality, he would soon come around.
Sure enough, Jeffrey quickly suppressed his emotions, leaving only a blood–red look in his eyes.
But he stubbornly looked in the direction Maggie had left, with an inexplicable stubbornness.
On the other side.
Maggie took Felix’s hand and walked out of the restaurant, her mind in a mess. She didn’t even realize it, just holding his hand all the way to the underground parking lot before letting go.
Felix’s heart skipped a beat as she let go, also beating secretly.
The two of them got into the car, and for a while, neither of them said

anything.
Maggie didn’t know how to start, and Felix didn’t want to disturb the peaceful atmosphere.
Suddenly, Maggie pursed her lips and looked earnestly at Felix.
I’m sorry, I just took advantage of you.
Felix also wanted to pretend not to understand, and said vaguely, “Oh, the English you were speaking just now was too difficult, I couldn’t understand.”
Maggie was stunned.
I heard him say that he didn’t understand, and I didn’t know what it felt like in my heart. I just sighed softly and said, “If you don’t understand, let’s just leave it at that for now.”
She also ambiguously avoided the topic.
When she reached the dormitory building, Maggie found it rather amusing.
Back in Germany, it was you who took me to the dormitory. Now that I’m back in my country, it’s me who took you to the dormitory. It’s quite a coincidence.
Felix smiled and continued down the path she had laid out.
“Yeah, fate. So, do you want to go up and have a glass of red wine before leaving?”
Maggie shook her head, “I drove here, how can I go back after drinking?”
Felix had just thought about sleeping here when he suddenly

remembered that his room was only forty square meters with just a single bed, so he didn’t say anything more,
“Okay, then I’ll go up first. See you tomorrow.”
He said to Maggie like that.
Maggie nodded, but when she saw that he didn’t get out of the car, she turned her head to look at him, only to meet his bright eyes.
Suddenly, my heart seemed to be hit, but I helplessly and joyfully replied, “See you tomorrow.”
After getting what he wanted, Felix finally got off the car and quickly went upstairs to leave.
Maggie felt inexplicably like she was walking her girlfriend home.
After laughing, he also drove away.
After Felix entered the room, his expression turned cold.
The feeling that was just in front of Maggie disappeared instantly.
He took out a bottle of red wine from the fridge, poured it into a glass, and then walked unsteadily towards the window.
The dusk in America is different from that in Germany.
He could see uncles and aunties walking hand in hand downstairs to dance square dance, and the unfamiliar air revealed a tranquility he had never experienced before.
Felix just took a sip.
The phone rang.
He picked up and answered with a cold “Hello?”

If Maggie were still here, she should be able to hear that the person on the other end of the phone was her boss in Germany.
“Felix, are you still used to America? You suddenly did such a thing, I don’t even know how to explain to your mother, saying that you went to America to chase women? You are crazy.”
Felix chuckled.
Somewhat rascally said, “Say whatever you want, as long as you’re not afraid of my mom going straight to your house to ask you about the relationship between me and Maggie.”
There was a moment of silence across from him, as if also shocked by Felix’s shamelessness.
After a long time, she asked in a daze, “So, did you catch up?”
Felix remembered the man who suddenly appeared today, his eyes suddenly cold: “Still chasing. By the way, help me look up a person. His name is Jeffrey.”
I want all of his information, not a single detail should be left out.
