Chapter 15
Seeing someone approaching from a distance, Eric furrowed his brow and quickly gave his assistant a look. The security guard standing outside silently dragged Adam away. This was his and Josie’s wedding, and he couldn’t let anyone ruin it, nor could he risk upsetting Johnson in the audience.
Adam used to exercise regularly, but when he was just discharged from the hospital, he was really weak. As he was being dragged out from behind the door with his mouth covered, he was recognized by the reporters who had come to report. He didn’t care about that, and was unceremoniously thrown into the adjacent reception room by the group of people.
He had not yet gotten up from the ground when he heard the familiar cry of alarm.
“Brother?”
Meeting Adam here was something Sally never expected.
“Why are you here?”
The two of them spoke at the same time.
Adam pursed his lips and asked again, “Aren’t you supposed to marry Eric? Why is Josie inside?”
“Josie married for me, Sally taunted, “So what? Why are you here again?“”
“Don’t you know that Josie is about to marry me? Adam stared at Sally. who retorted defiantly. “Oh really? How come I haven’t heard about it? Aren’t you still with your ex–love?“”
“Still, you paid a high price to take her virginity by lighting the sky lantern. Are you not afraid of everyone knowing, or is it that… Sally sneered. “Or is it that you did it on purpose, wanting Josie to find
out?“”
“Do you know what? Adam retorted, “I was out for revenge on Jessica! How could I possibly be with her?“”
“Retaliate against her? Sally laughed as if she had heard something funny. “I’ve never heard of retaliating against someone by taking it to the bedroom, let alone making your own girlfriend suffer for it!“”
“You have no idea. Adam! Sally was already too lazy to call him brother. “You have no idea what your old flame sent to Josie, do you? If I hadn’t lent her my card. I wouldn’t even know how promiscuous you are in bed, brother!“”
The last two words were shouted through gritted teeth, Adam felt as if he had been struck by lightning. Did Jessica really go to find Josie?
“Becoming friends with Josic, the biggest regret is introducing you two, Sally said angrily. “If I could, I really wish I hadn’t taken her to see your basketball game in the first place, so she would never have
met you!“”
Sally was still thinking about how to get Adam out when a familiar sound of footsteps came from outside. She turned around and saw Josic, who was coming to bring her a wedding gift.
Josie also froze, she had been thinking about Sally all along, so as soon

as she finished toasting the elders of the Acker family, she immediately found an excuse to run out, but she didn’t expect to see Adam here. It seems that the wedding had just taken place, there was indeed a commotion at the door, but Eric deliberately blocked her view and she didn’t see anything.
It was Adam after all.
Sally reached out to pull Josic, but Adam was faster. He suddenly grabbed Josie’s hand, staring at her intently. “How come you’re married, Josie? Couldn’t you wait? Didn’t we agree to discuss marriage When I came back?”
“I don’t remember agreeing to marry you, did I?”
Josie shook off his hand and stood next to Sally, her face displaying a cold, unfamiliar expression that made Adam feel uneasy.
“Are you too impatient? Adam asked persistently, “Have you registered with him? If not, we can go to the City Hall now. I don’t mind if your have already had a wedding with him…“”
“What about the conditions? Josie shook the wine in her cup. “Do you want me to withdraw the lawsuit?“”
She then snorted coldly, “The Acker family is wealthy and powerful. If your mother can bail her out once, then let her continue to bail her
out.”
“Isn’t it too unfair for you to exchange dropping the lawsuit with getting married, Adam?”
Adam was about to say something else, but he was suddenly pushed by his own sister. “That’s enough! Are you going to cause trouble on
Josie’s wedding day too?”
Sally never expected her own brother to say such nonsensical things, she absolutely would not allow Adam to go crazy on such an important.

“Since you’re already here, Adam, why not have a drink before you leave? Josie poured herself a glass without hesitation and was about to splash it on Adam, but was pushed away by Jessica, who appeared out of nowhere. “You’re out of line, Josie!“”
The wine was spilled all over Jessica.
Josie was wearing high heels and was pushed so hard that she almost fell. but luckily Eric, who was coming up behind her, caught her in
time.
“Are you okay?”
Josie nodded.
Just now she briefly explained the situation to Eric, then ran out alone. to find Sally, leaving him to deal with the relatives and friends. However, she did not return for a long time, so Eric came out to take a look, only to unexpectedly witness this scene.
Josic frowned, she didn’t expect to run into Jessica here, but she wasn’t the only one who came.

“I was wondering why you suddenly disappeared, Evelin quickly walked into the living room. Adam had his assistant quickly book a flight to France, and Jessica, sensing something suspicious, notified Evelin and hurried over to follow Adam.”
“Mom? How did you get here? Sally was surprised. ”
Evelin glanced at her and said, “I’ll settle the score with you later.”
“Did you ignore Ade because you climbed up the Acker family tree? Evelin turned around and glared at Josie, “Do you know that my son was hit by a car because of you and only woke up yesterday!“”
“Waking up and running here to find you, and you’re just fine! Evelin pushed away Adam, who was trying to stop her. “You come here to be someone else’s daughter–in–law! Is this fair to Ade?“”
Josie was about to say something, but Eric discreetly stood in front of her.
“Mrs. Deantt, about why Josie married me, I think you should be clearer than any of us.”
“And Josie is now the daughter–in–law of the Acker family, she is not obligated to answer to you.”
Evelin was stunned. She didn’t expect Eric to speak up for Josic.
“Huh, does she even deserve to enter the Acker family? The moment she saw Ade injured, she felt hopeless and immediately left him. Do you think she would stay well in your house? Jessica’s sharp voice fell into Josie’s ears, she felt inexplicably accused, where did these unfounded accusations come from.”
“Was it because of me that Adam got hurt? Josie asked, then turned to Adam, “Did I cause the accident for you?“”
Adam quickly shook his head.
Jessica was unwilling. “So are you saying that you didn’t marry Eric just for his money? I heard that it was because his grandfather was dying…”
“Shut up! Adam finally couldn’t take it anymore “Apologize to Josie!“”
When Jessica mentioned Grandpa Eric, Josie noticed that Eric’s eyes. grew cold
“Do you want me to apologize to her? Jessica asked with a sad smile. “Did I say something wrong? Josic… ah!“”
“I’ve had enough! Sally finally couldn’t stand it anymore, slapped Jessica in the face, met Jessica’s incredulous eyes, and raised her chin, “I really don’t know how my brother ever fell for you.“”
“What are you up to again? Evelin was surprised to see her daughter’s elbow sticking out, both anxious and angry. She quickly asked her assistant. Zachery, to take Sally away. Sally secretly gave Josie a look, and Josie knew that he was planning to run away with his Alex again.”
Evelin saw Josie laughing at her, she was so angry that she raised her hand to slap Josie. However, her wrist was grabbed by Eric, who had a cold expression on his face.

Adam stood there, looking incredulously at Josie, who had just called the police. “Are you crazy? This is your mom…”
