When Adam received the assistant’s call, he was overwhelmed with the affairs in the company. His project plans were leaking frequently, and all the evidence pointed to Josie.
“Mr. Deantt… Ivan Conrad’s voice hesitated, “I followed the lead and found out that one of the people in the photo is named Kendall Trevino, originally from Chicago. But it seems like he knows I’m looking for him, and now he’s on the run to New York. Should I continue following him or move on to the next person?“”
Kendall? Adam pinched the bridge of his nose. This person he still remembered, a famous playboy in school who was always partying. He had once had some business dealings with Adam’s family. When the Deantt Group went bankrupt, the Trevino Group was also affected to

Adam couldn’t take it anymore. The veins on the back of his hand bulged as he grabbed Kendall’s neck and kept slamming him against the tree.
Later, Josie still didn’t know where she had come from. She held onto Adam tightly, wanting him to stop. The Deantt Group had an accident, and Adam couldn’t afford to have another one.
Josic, it’s Josie again, Adam realized that at every important moment in his life, he could see the shadow of Josie.
“Mr. Deantt? Ivan asked again, as he hadn’t received any instructions from Adam for a long time. “Should we continue the search?“”
“Cha, Adam said, “you go find him, by any means necessary, and make sure to find out what happened back then.“”
After the phone call ended, a figure quietly disappeared at the doorway of Adam’s office.
Johnson couldn’t stop praising the food Josie brought, swearing it was the best meal he had ever eaten. Eric mercilessly interrupted, “Oh really? And who was it last time that ate my glazed pork ribs, claiming they were better than even the best Michelin–starred chef, and now…”

Grandpa Acker sighed, “Eric does have a sense of responsibility, so you don’t need to worry about him doing bad things. But do you truly love him, or are you just feeling his kindness towards you? Coming out of the hospital, the doctor informed Josie that her grandfather would be able to leave the hospital in another week. Josie walked to the car and found that the driver was missing. Just as she was wondering, she saw Eric sitting in the driver’s seat.
