“That’s depressing. May I ask why?”
I looked back out to the window and sighed.
“When I was seventeen my dad trusted me to take over the Alpha title as he’s the Alpha of a little pack near Tacoma, Washington. Our pack was small, about forty to fifty people and he thought I was more than capable of running pack life. I agreed, but I didn’t know if that’s what I wanted. Jack came to town one day because he was searching for some stone, Instead he found me and he asked me to come back to his pack with him. I told Jack that if I was loving we all were, he told me he didn’t have a big pack so my mother snuck me out one night and told me to leave. She wanted me to have whatever opportunity I wanted. So I did, I left. I tried to call but every time I did no one would answer. Soon Jack enrolled me in school and I saw he had lied. He took me back to the pack house and told me to pick a room, there were over three hundred rooms, surely there was enough room for fifty pack members. I tried to convince him but…he’s just so damn hard–headed, he told me I was Luna and I had no right to make decisions so I stood by and watched him play his games
I finished speaking and looked back to Michaelangelo who was watching the road intently with concern and slight frustration etched into his face.
“I’m so sorry
He took my hand and we drove on, just like that
Hand in hand, for miles on end.

Rose’s POV-
“Rose…Rose wake up.”
Michaelangelo’s voice woke me from my slumber hours later.
“Hm? What’s going on?”
“We’re home.”
He spoke as he pointed towards the window.
Trubbed my eyes, getting them adjusted to the light before gasping
This was my old home.
“Why did you bring me here?” I questioned.
“You seemed so sad, about your parents and the way you left. I hope I wasn’t too forward in assuming you’d like to see them again.”
“How did you-
He cut me off, “I made a few calls, we have a couple of people working in the department for us. I’m sorry, is that creepy?” His eyes started to widen in panic.
I shook my head, my heart was racing.
“No, it’s nothing like that I just what if they don’t want to see me?”
I felt my
panic beginning to rise.
“I’m sure they’ve missed you, the worst they can do is throw us out, Come on, I’ll be right there with you.”
He sent me a reassuring smile, squeezing my hand once before unlocking the door and opening it.
I walked up the steps to the house, stopping a few feet in front of the door.
I raised my hand and let three taps fall upon the door.
My heart was pounding as my mother’s familiar, off–key humming slowly made it’s way closer and closer to the door.
As the door creaked open I heard the sound of a feminine gasp, I looked up to see my mother gazing at me, looking between Michaelangelo and I.
Tears clouded her eyes and she looked to me and pulled me in for a hug, after a few moments of being in shock I felt my arms wrap around her and squeeze her back gently
“Come in, please. Get out of the terrible weather.”
She ushered us into the warm house, closing the door and offering to take my shawl.
I hadn’t realized that I was still in the ballgown from the party.
“I was just making some tes, I’ll bring you both some. Rose you look frozen right down to the bone, we still have some of your old clothes if you’d like.” She smiled that warm smile that always made me feel better.
“Sure mom, that sounds great.”
I replied.
“Where’s dad?“”
