The girl looked at the steward discontentedly and said, “What kind of people are you? You didn’t even drive him away. He scared me. Don’t you know?”
The butler’s expression changed, and he quickly stood in front of the girl, looking sternly at the Jason in front of him.
“Mr. Quinn, please leave right now, or I will have to call someone!”
Jason seemed to not hear anything, he went crazy and wanted to grab the girl’s hand behind the butler.
“Carla, it’s me, do you really not recognize me?”
The ambiguous girl spoke first, and the butler said, “Mr. Quinn, you’ve got the wrong person. She’s not Carla, she’s Ms. Kathryn Collins.”
This sentence felt like a heavy hammer hitting Jason’s head hard, making him wince in pain and exclaim, “What…what did you say?”
The butler sighed deeply as he looked at Jason, who was unaware of what was happening.
“Ms. Kathryn and Ms. Carla are cousins. They are often mistaken for twins because they look so much alike. As for the time you saw someone picking up Carla’s parents at the airport in France, that person was also Ms. Kathryn. When you sent Carla abroad, she was worried about her parents not having anyone to take care of them, so she specifically asked Ms. Kathryn, who happened to be in the country, to pick them up.”
“Even though you were too sad because of losing Carla, you shouldn’t mistake people.”

“No, it’s not true. She is Carla. There are still scars on her wrist from when she saved me.”
Jason still didn’t believe the butler’s words. He just pushed the butler aside and reached out to grab the girl’s hand, wanting to roll up the sleeve. of the girl’s wrist to show him the evidence.
“Bang!”
Jason was greeted with a crisp slap in the face, causing Kathryn to become angry and embarrassed, pointing her finger at his nose and scolding him.
“Are you sick? If you can’t recognize people, go see a doctor instead of bothering me here!”
“Housekeeper, why are you still standing there? Quickly call someone to drive him away for me!”
The bodyguards rushed out directly to drive Jason away. Jason struggled desperately, his eyes full of unwillingness.
“Carla, Carla!”
Kathryn watched coldly as Jason was dragged further and further away by the bodyguards, before finally taking out her phone to call Carla.
After hearing that Jason was touched, Carla thanked Kathryn, saying, “Thank you for all your help today.”
Carla thought that with Jessica’s persuasion, Jason would believe that she was really dead and would never come looking for her again.
But I didn’t expect Jason to be so persistent for a year, staying outside the Collins family’s old mansion for several days, unwilling to leave.
So Carla, with no other option, had to let her cousin play the role of herself, in order to make him completely believe that the person he saw

that day was not Carla, but Kathryn.
The effect was indeed very obvious now, and for several days afterwards Carla did not hear any news from Jason about visiting the Collins family.
In a villa in Paris, Jason’s face grew paler as he looked at the documents in front of him.
How could it be? How could he have mistaken the person?
Although it was just a glance, Jason was certain that it was Carla, not someone else.
But why did she suddenly become a different woman?
Did Carla really die in that plane crash, and is everything now just his illusion?
Jason’s eyes grew dimmer and dimmer, and just then, the butler suddenly knocked on his study door: “Sir, someone is looking for you.”
Jason frowned, he didn’t have any friends in France, who would come to
find him?
When Jason walked down the stairs and saw the extremely familiar figure sitting on the sofa, he thought he was dreaming again.
Upon hearing the sound, the woman on the sofa stood up and looked. towards him. In that moment, Jason chuckled self–deprecatingly in his heart. It was indeed his illusion, because the person in front of him was Kathryn, whom he had mistaken for someone else that day.
Kathryn saw Jason stand up and followed suit.
“Mr. Quinn, last time I didn’t clarify the situation, so I want to apologize
you here.”

Jason shook his head and said, “What happened last time was just me
being foolish. I should apologize to you.”
After exchanging pleasantries, Jason finally asked Kathryn the purpose of her visit.
Kathryn said solemnly, “You see, my cousin left me a recorded message before she passed away, and it contained some words about you.”
Kathryn hesitated and looked at Jason’s expression, tentatively asking, “Do you want to listen now?”
