Chapter 11
A few days passed.
When my mom and I were shopping for clothes, we ran into an acquaintance of her who immediately started gossiping with my mom.
Theard that after Vincent recovered from his illness, he locked himself in his room and started drinking heavily.
No matter who called, the door remained closed.
Until someone sent him a recording, Yaritza’s foot was not that serious.
Varitza bought fabricated medical records from the hospital.
Vincent found Yaritza and they had a big argument. He also froze all the assets he had given to Yaritza and blacklisted her in the industry.
Yaritza had not even graduated from studying abroad.
Without a good diploma, one was marginalized, and now even basic sustenance has become a problem.
Vincent’s grandfather, dissatisfied with his temperament and inability to judge people, found him embarrassing. He sent him to a subsidiary in a remote city to gain experience, effectively putting an end to his ambitions for power in the future.
We met before he left, at a banquet.
I attended with Hezekiah.
The air was filled with a mixture of scents and Hezekiah couldn’t get away from the socializing.
I came out by myself to get some fresh air.
It didn’t take long before I saw Vincent standing beside me, and it was evident that he had become noticeably thinner and haggard,
“Reina, I am leaving in the next two days, and I came today just to see you one more time.”
“Well, everything went smoothly.”
Vincent’s eyes turned red. His voice hoarse. “These past few days, I have thought a lot. I was terribly wrong all this time, causing you so
much distress.”
“I’m sorry, Reina, I’m sorry.”
I nodded, “Hmm, have you finished speaking?”
Vincent pursed his lips and choked out, “Uh”
There was a long silence.
In college, we always had endless conversations when we were together.
After graduation, the rare moments of solitude we had were only filled with my endless words
Now, I didn’t speak and he didn’t know what to say either.
In the end, we reached a point where we looked at each other without saying a word,
I turned around and left.
Walk your own path.
Walk to the end where it was bright.
I saw Hezekiah, wearing a custom–made silver–gray suit, lazily leaning against the stairs.
He looked up when he heard footsteps approaching

His cold and indifferent gate instantly turned gentle like water when he saw me
I thought I was lucky enough
Henkiah got a call.
“Speak”
“Mr. Hennen, it was you who made me come back, who hooked me up with Vincent, and now I am being blacklisted, ending up in this state. You can’t just ignore me.”
“I just pointed you in the right direction back then, and look at what you’ve become on your own.” Hezekiah mocked.
“Don’t go talking nonsense in front of my wife, or you’ll pay for that.” After hanging up the phone, Hezekiah turned around and kissed the sleeping woman in his arms.
“No, tired,” the soft voice said with a hint of hoarseness.
The man’s eyes were filled with a gentle and smiling expression
“Okay, sweetheart, go to sleep.”

Chapter 1
Among the crowded guests, my fiancé took away my bouquet.
He knelt down on one knee to propose to my sister, and she was moved and agreed.
The wedding had a last–minute change of bride, and I became the laughingstock of everyone afterwards.
The wealthiest heir in Maplevale, Jared Lewey, however, at this moment, made a high–profile a marriage proposal to me.
After marriage, Jared doted on me a lot, and I once again gave my heart wholeheartedly.
On the day of my birthday banquet, I got drunk and pretended to sleep in Jared’s arms.
When people discussed how much one could love another person.
I heard Jared say, “I married the most detested sister of my beloved, just to clear obstacles for her.”
Every word fell into my ears, sounding like thunder,
I nestled in the closest place to his heart and listened to him speak of his love for my sister.
I felt my whole body’s blood coagulate, as if falling into an Ice cave.
The private room fell silent for a moment, then erupted into a roaring cheer.
“Jared is truly remarkable! He was able to endure sharing a bed with someone he didn’t love, all for the sake of an unattainable love.”
“Jared was such a romantic, silently loving Tatiana for so many years, even at the expense of his own marriage.”
Jared spoke in a low and gentle tone, “I was willing to do anything as long as Tatiana could be happy.”
His friend teased, “I heard Tatiana and Mike Soderberg are getting a divorce Won’t you be able to reconnect with her soon? When are you planning to make a move, you sly one?
Jared fell silent for a moment and said lightly, “Raquel couldn’t leave me. Let’s take our time with this matter.”
“Don’t say too much in front of her either. I don’t want to argue with her.”
Everyone echoed in agreement, and no one dared to refuse Jared.
Someone joked under the influence of alcohol, “But Mr. Lewey doesn’t lose too much either. To sleep with a celebrity must be very good.”
Jared chuckled and absentmindedly flicked my earlobe with his finger, “It’s really good.”
I clenched my teeth tightly and held back my tears.
I thought Jared was the only redemption in the abyss of despair.
I didn’t expect him to be the knife that cut the rope.
A seven–year marriage had now become a joke.
