Chapter 6
Evelyn looked up and spotted Samantha crying near a dead dog not too far away. A sudden wave of rage rose in her chest.
She pulled Emma forward with a hard expression and spoke to Samantha with a chilly voice, “Stealing my man wasn’t enough for you? Now you want to steal a grave, too?”
Samantha’s sad face changed quickly, and her expression became fierce. She bit her lip, pretending to be deeply wronged.
“Ms. Finchum, I think there’s been a misunderstanding. I’m only here to bury my dog. I don’t get why you’re so upset with me.”
She then looked at the urn they were holding.
“Are you putting on another act to make Theodore feel sorry for you? As if you’re any better.
“What now? Are you going to claim Josie is dead?
“I watched that video. Josie looked like she was enjoying it. Stop pretending, it’s pathetic.”

exceptions.
“If it’s urgent, I’ll have our staff help you find another available plot elsewhere.”
Samantha’s face turned red with frustration. She shot a glare at Evelyn.
“You’re heartless, Evelyn! You won’t even let me bury my dog!”
Evelyn gently set Josie’s urn into the grave and didn’t even spare Samantha a glance.
“Heartless? That word fits you a lot better than it does me.”
Samantha’s hands trembled from anger. Just moments later, she turned pale and fainted.
Before Evelyn had a chance to react, a cold and commanding voice came
from behind her.
“Get that filthy thing out of the grave.”
She turned and saw Theodore, who looked flustered as he rushed over and gently lifted Samantha into his arms. Evelyn’s hands balled into fists, her nails pressing into her palms.
She quickly blocked the bodyguard who was reaching toward Josie’s urn, staring at Theodore with tear-filled eyes.
“Theodore, do you even know who’s buried here?”
Theodore stood above her, looking down with a cold, detached gaze.
“Why should I care who it is?
“You always make things hard for Samantha.

Chapter 6
After speaking, he signaled the bodyguard. The man instantly pulled the urn out of the grave and threw it on the ground, right in front of Evelyn and Emma. The ashes were scattered carelessly, mixing with the dirt.
Emma cried out and ran forward to gather the remains, but a bodyguard held her back. Another bodyguard nearby stepped on the ashes, laughing cruelly.
Evelyn’s body shook, her heart unable to handle the pain. She stared at Theodore, her eyes red with disbelief.
She swallowed the metallic taste of blood in her mouth and forced out each word, “Theodore, do you even realize whose ashes these are? This is my…”
“Your sister’s?” Theodore cut her off with a mocking smile, a trace of scorn flashing across his good–looking face.
“I figured you’d come up with a story like that and pull something this dramatic.
“This is getting tiresome, Evelyn. Keep lying, and I won’t hesitate to turn your lies into reality.”
