When the staff genuinely picked up the phone to call the police. Chloe started to panic and quickly turned to Clarissa, only to see her strolling off toward the men’s section without even sparing her a glance.
The police arrived not long after, and the manager stepped up to explain the situation. This young lady spent a total of 113. million dollars in our store, and now she can’t pay. According to the law-
“What do you mean, 113 million?! Clare said the one million is void now! Chloe blurted out in a hurry
The manager looked at her as if she were an idiot. “Miss Clarissa was just being polire You really took that seriously?”
Chloe was rendered at a loss for words.
Clarissa didn’t bother with the chaos outside. She took her time browsing the men’s section, picked out a belt for Jonathan, and then chose three different ties–one for each of her three older brothers.
She hadn’t seen them yet since her return, but in her last life, they had all suffered because of her. She owed them. It was only right to start making it up to them now.
She asked the sales assistant to wrap the gifts separately so she could pick them up later. Right now, she had something more important to deal with–tearing a sc’mbag to shreds.
With that thought in mind, Clarissa stormed off toward the hospital.
The hospital where Gregory was staying belonged to her second brother, Albert Chandler. It was the top private hospital in all of Imperia.
Albert had always dreamed of becoming a soldier growing up, but at eighteen, he suddenly pivoted into the entertainment industry. Not only had he become a bona fide movie star, but he also developed an odd passion for opening hospitals. Every penny he earned went into them. By now, he’d opened over twenty across the country.
The moment Clarissa walked into the hospital, Colin Cavalier, the director, was notified. His head instantly started to pound -worse than when he had to publish a high–level research paper.
She’s back again! That little firecracker!
Last time she came around, the poor man barely survived it.
Without hesitation, Colin dumped the responsibility onto the deputy director, Shawn Caldwell.
The poor deputy director was just as exasperated inwardly. Thanks, sir…
“Miss Clarissa,” Shawn greeted her with a forced smile. “You’re here to see Mr. Gosling, right?”
Clarissa gave him a brief glance. “Yeah.”
Ten points to Shawn! He groaned inwardly but remained polite on the surface. “Mr. Gosling is in a deluxe VIP suite on the tenth floor. We’ve assigned him the best private nurse, and he’s recovering well. I’ll take you to him.”
“Alright Clarissa nodded. “Also, get me a few security guards.”
Shawn paused for a moment, unsure why she needed security, but Clarissa had spoken–and in this hospital, her word was law. After all, she was his boss baby sister,
So, he quickly called for a few guards to join them, and together, they made their way in a full–blown escort toward Gregory’s
suite.
Inside the VIP suite, Gregory lay on the hospital bed as a call came in from Chloe. His expression shifted when he heard that she’d been taken in by the police.

“Greg! You have to help me! Please! The cops said if I don’t pay them back, I’ll end up in jail! It was Clarissa! That b*tch did it on purpose–she set me up!”
“Don’t talk nonsense,” Gregory snapped, annoyed. “I know Clare. She spoiled you the most. She’d never send you to prison on purpose. You must’ve done something to piss her off.”
Clarissa could even sacrifice herself to Jonathan for his sake–she’d loved him that much. There was no way she’d turn around and throw his sister behind bars unless Chloe had done something first.
“Greg!” Chloe’s voice was thick with grievance. She couldn’t believe no one believed that Clarissa had done it deliberately.
“Alright, calm down, Gregory cajoled. ‘I’ll call Clarissa. For my sake, she wouldn’t-
Bang!
The hospital room door suddenly flew open with a violent kick.
