Emmett remained silent as he stepped forward and delivered a powerful blow to Aliana’s face. Allana let out a pained cry as the forceful impact left her check swollen and rapidly turning red. The streaming camera, now pointed at her following Emmett’s wordless signal, captured every second of her shame for all viewers to see. The unexpected turn of events left the audience in shocked silence.
Still recovering from the strike, Aliana struggled helplessly, her movements frantic but ineffective.
“Emmett, why are you doing this? What have I done to deserve such treatment?”
Outside, rain poured heavily, but Emmett’s expression was even more ominous than the weather.
“You’re well aware of your actions,” he snarled, his tone filled with venom.
The audience was captivated, with more people joining the stream by the second. Comments flooded in rapidly as they watched the scene unfold.
“What’s going on? How did things escalate so quickly?”
“Weren’t they supposed to be the ideal couple? What did Aliana do to anger Mr. Davidson so much?”
Aliana no longer cared about appearances. Emmett’s words sent a chill through her. Had her secret been revealed? Her heart raced. She knew Emmett’s anger well enough to understand that the repercussions of her deception would be severe.
Before Aliana could devise a strategy, Emmett thrust several papers against her face, rubbing them forcefully.
“Still acting innocent? Look at this evidence!”
Aliana gasped for air, feeling suffocated as the papers pressed against her face. When Emmett finally pulled them away, most of her makeup had transferred onto the sheets, leaving a vivid trail of proof.
The viewers erupted in laughter and disbelief.
“Ha! So much for natural beauty! Look at all that makeup on the paper! Explain this, fans!”
“She really knows how to play the innocent victim, doesn’t she? Pregnant and still wearing makeup, serves her right!”

Emmett forced Aliana’s head down, making her look at the chat history.

Aliana had never been popular, and the constant online harassment had become overwhelming. Emmett, once sympathetic to her plight, had intervened to help her cope.
Now, she clung to this excuse, hoping to appeal to his emotions and clear her name.
But those online insults had never truly affected her. What about Athena, though? From the first provocation, how much pain had Athena endured?

Aliana’s voice quivered as she fell to her knees. “I’m sorry… forgive me, Emmett… I just love you too much. I couldn’t bear her taking you away. Everything I did was for you!”
Emmett laughed bitterly, his voice twisted with anger. “You’re digging your own grave. Your think you can blame this on me?”
Aliana trembled, her body shaking as her ruined makeup streaked down her face, leaving her looking completely wretched.
