Antonio gently held her, his warm breath tickling her ear. “A lifetime is long, and you’re all I want.”
Grace finally laughed, but it had a touch of bitterness. “What if you betray me?”

After knowing all the truth, Grace felt a pang in her chest at the words.

His tone wasn’t like an elder’s. It sounded more like a husband asking about his wife’s plans, with a hint of jealousy.
Kenna caught the jealousy and grinned, “There’s a company party tonight. I’m going to get a boyfriend there, so I won’t be home tonight.”
Antonio’s expression darkened at the words. Kenna’s smile widened. “By the way, Grace, what are your plans for today?”
