Ethan’s POV
After that day, Ethan often used “busy with work” as an excuse and gradually spent less and less time at the pack house.
His wolf became exceptionally restless; only running seemed to calm it down a bit.
He was frequently away from home, and Isabella was more than happy to have her freedorn, spending her days either at the beauty salon or getting her hair done.
She had no idea how to manage a pack.
Mason and Maya no longer had a wolf to take them to the academy.
Previously, Isabella, trying to win them over, would often secretly get them excused from school to take them out to play.
So, the two little wolf cubs followed her example, skipping wolf academy altogether, ditching classes to hide out.
Their wolf natures started to become rebellious and uncontrolled.
Isabella found out but didn’t care at all.
“Luna, the young master and young miss have been skipping classes a lot lately. The teachers at the wolf academy say their performance in transformation training is very poor. They hope the Alpha and you can discipline the cubs more.”
“The young master and miss’s wolf natures are also becoming increasingly unstable. We servants can’t control them at all. Could you perhaps come back to the pack house and talk to them? At least get them to go to wolf academy.”
“Alright, I know about this. I’ll handle it later.”
Isabella lounged lazily in the beauty chair, admiring her freshly done nails, completely unconcerned about the two little wolf cubs‘ development.
“No need to tell Ethan about this. He’s busy enough with work. I don’t want him to worry.”
The call ended.
A friend sitting next to her teased:
“No way, are you really going to deal with those two burdens? I mean, it’s great you’re bonding with the Alpha. But having these two little wolf cubs around is just too annoying.”
“Who said I was going to deal with them?”
Isabella yawned lazily, her eyes full of cunning.
“I’d love to see them ruined, their wolf sides underdeveloped.
That way, they won’t compete with my future cubs for the Alpha title.”

With that, she made another call, this time to Mason and Maya’s wolf academy teacher.
“Teacher, our cubs need to be at the pack house for some things lately. They won’t be coming to the academy, so you don’t need to worry too much. You know our family situation; they don’t need to be too thorough with their wolf studies.”
“Also, the cubs‘ father is very busy lately. If there’s anything, just talk to me directly. Don’t bother him,”
After hanging up, she finally relaxed, quickly putting the matter out of her mind.
That evening, after her beauty treatments, she made a rare return to the pack house.
The living room was a mess from the two cubs‘ roughhousing.
They were practicing transforming, but their control was poor.
Seeing her return, the two cubs happily pounced on her.
“Aunt Isabella, you’re finally back! We missed you so much.”
But to their surprise, Isabella, who was usually all smiles and gentleness with them, looked extremely cold.
She even instinctively released a bit of pressure, making the two little wolf cubs shrink back.
She brushed them off impatiently.
