Samuel frowned at that. “I never said I
wanted a divorce from you.”
I scoffed. The words felt like a cruel joke.
Samuel seemed to recall what he had said before. He rubbed his nose awkwardly.
“Aren’t you going to invite me in, Dawn?” he suddenly asked.

Cole scoffed and rolled his eyes at Samuel before going into the kitchen to cook.
