Our life had stagnated into a pool of stagnant water.
It was suffocating.
I could feel he wanted a divorce.
But he didn’t know how to bring it up.
Journal Entry 12
Even though I had long suspected he wanted a divorce,
When he finally couldn’t hold it in anymore after two years and brought it up,
I still found it impossible to accept.
Especially when he came home smelling of another woman’s perfume to discuss divorce with me.
He rarely replied to my messages.
He rarely answered my calls.
Under these circumstances, he showed me no respect, giving me the silent treatment,
And then asking for a divorce.
My heart felt like it was being pierced by needles.
I couldn’t accept his divorce.
The more he pushed for it, the more I refused to let go.
Journal Entry 13
