Lady Nun’s Revenge Version 2 CH 30

Wen Si: “?”

Wen Si walked over, looking puzzled: “What are you doing?”

“What scripture did you recite yesterday?”

Beichen Yuan asked her to sit next to him.

Wen Si avoided suspicion and did not sit on the big rock where he was sitting, but chose the smaller one next to it.

It’s just right for her to sit alone.

“The sutra I recited yesterday? Your Highness the Regent said, is it the Golden Light Sutra that I recited when I was fetching water?”

“right.”

Beichen Yuan saw that she was sitting so far away, and for some reason he felt a little dissatisfied.

However, seeing that there was still a hint of vigilance in Wen Si’s eyes, he didn’t say anything and continued to talk to her about the scriptures.

“Didn’t you say that you would agree to whatever the king asks for, within your ability?”

Beichen Yuan looked at her with a smile.

Wen Si paused and said nothing.

Beichen Yuan seemed to have keenly sensed something and said unhappily, “Are you planning to go back on your word? How come I have helped you so much, and you are not willing to repay me with even a small request?”

“no……”

Wen Si quickly shook her head.

Although she was indeed a little hesitant because of Wen Yue just now.

But he only hesitated for a moment.

After all, Beichen Yuan was right, he had indeed helped her several times during this period.

I owe so many favors to others, it’s time to repay them.

Wen Si took a deep breath and said, “Your Highness the Regent, please let me know if you need any help.”

The sooner she repays the favor, the more she can concentrate on planning to deal with the Wen family.

“That’s more like it.”

Beichen Yuan was satisfied and raised his eyebrows slightly. “It’s not a big deal that I need your help with. I just heard you recite the scripture yesterday and thought it sounded good. As a reward, you can recite the Golden Light Sutra to me like you did yesterday.”

Wen Si was stunned for a moment after hearing this, a little surprised: “It’s… that simple?”

“Yeah, it’s that simple.”

Beichen Yuan’s phoenix eyes smiled, “If you think this reward is too little, then recite it to me a few more times. I like to hear it.”

“good.”

Wen Si agreed readily.

She didn’t know whether Beichen Yuan really liked listening to it, but it was not a loss for her anyway.

It’s just right to review it a few times.

“Do you want to start now?”

“Well, start when you’re ready.”

Beichen Yuan tilted his body, turned around and lay down on a big rock without caring about his image, squinted his eyes lazily, and listened attentively.

Wen Si also began to –

“Thus have I heard:

Once, the Buddha was staying at Mount Vulture Peak in the great city of Rajgir. At that time, the Tathagata wandered in the places where the Buddhas of infinite and profound Dharma nature walked, and his practices were purer than those of all Bodhisattvas.

This is the Golden Light Sutra, the king of all sutras. If anyone hears it, he will be able to contemplate its supreme, subtle, and profound meanings…”

The light and pleasant voice jumped into Beichen Yuan’s ears word by word.

As she recited, Beichen Yuan’s breathing also calmed down.

With the accompaniment of birds and streams all around, Wen Si’s voice is like entering the natural world, cleansing the heart.

That feeling was the kind of calmness that Beichen Yuan had never felt since he went to the battlefield and his hands were stained with blood.

Slowly and leisurely.

Beichen Yuan’s consciousness also sank into it, and the noisy sounds of fighting and screams in his mind in the past gradually disappeared and became empty.

After a while, Wen Si noticed that the man lying on the big rock seemed to have fallen asleep.

For fear of disturbing someone, she stopped chanting.

As a result, before he could stop for three breaths, the man suddenly opened his eyes and said in a hoarse voice, “Don’t stop.”

Wen Si had no choice but to continue reciting.

I can’t stop thinking about this.

Since she had just memorized the first volume, Wen Si recited it over and over again.

After reciting it seven or eight times, her throat was almost dry and smoking.

Wen Si had to stop again.

As a result, someone was just pretending to sleep. As soon as she stopped, she woke up and asked unhappily, “Why did you stop again?”

Wen Si couldn’t help but roll her eyes at him and said, “If you keep talking, my voice will be ruined.”

Beichen Yuan then noticed that her voice was indeed a little hoarse, and after a moment of hesitation he asked, “How long has it been?”

Wen Si said: “An hour has passed.”

Beichen Yuan couldn’t help but wonder, “It’s been so long?”

He thought only a quarter of an hour had passed.

No wonder Wen Si said her voice was going to be ruined.

Beichen Yuan stood up and felt relaxed all over, especially the part that used to be the most troublesome part. Today, he felt extremely relaxed.

It turns out that this Golden Light Sutra is really effective in treating his illness.

Or we can go back and ask someone else to recite it, that way we won’t have to come to Shuiyue Temple to bother this little girl.

Beichen Yuan thought so.

“You’ve worked hard today, let’s stop here.”

Beichen Yuan consciously took her two wooden buckets and went to the stream to fill them with water.

When Wen Si saw this, she quickly waved her hands and said, “Too many hits.”

She can’t carry two such full buckets of water yet.

Beichen Yuan said nonchalantly: “No problem, I will take you back.”

As he spoke, he didn’t even use the shoulder pole that Wen Si brought. He easily carried the two buckets of water and walked towards the Shuiyue Temple on the top of the mountain.

Wen Si had no time to refuse, so she had to hurry after him holding her carrying pole.

The other side.

The Duke Zhenguo’s Mansion.

Wen Yue was thrown to the foot of Nanshan Mountain by Beichen Yuan’s men.

Finally, he climbed back to the mountainside of Nanshan Mountain in a miserable state. After finding the Wen family’s carriage, he angrily told them to go back quickly.

Wait until she returns to the Wen family.

She didn’t even change her clothes and ran straight to the Wen family’s study to find Wen Quansheng and Wen Changyun.

“Father, brother!”

Unfortunately, she looked everywhere but couldn’t find the father and son.

Finally, I asked the housekeeper and found out that Wen Quansheng and Wen Changyun had gone out to do some business.

Wen Yue, who was still furious, couldn’t find anyone to complain to. Suddenly she remembered something, her eyes lit up, and she immediately turned around and ran to Wen Zichen’s yard.

Sure enough, he saw Wen Zichen practicing martial arts.

“Second brother!”

As soon as she entered, she burst into tears out of grievance.

“Xiao Liu?!”

When Wen Zichen turned around, he saw Wen Yue, who was soaking wet.

“What’s going on? Why are your clothes all wet?!”

On the way here, Wen Yue saw that her clothes were a little dry, so she took a detour to get a basin of water and splashed it on herself again.

So when she arrived at Wen Zichen’s yard, she looked like someone who had just come out of a pond, her whole body wet. In Wen Zichen’s eyes, she looked extremely pitiful and heartbreaking.

Wen Yue cried and wiped the liquid on her face that was not sure whether it was water or tears, and then revealed a grief-stricken expression: “Second brother, Yue’er… Yue’er has really tried hard, but it still doesn’t work, second brother, please help Yue’er!”

Wen Zichen quickly asked the servants to get clean clothes for Wen Yue, and then asked her: “Didn’t you go to Shuiyue Temple to look for Wen Si? Why did you come back like this? Didn’t you see her?”

Wen Zichen was in the academy yesterday and just came back today, so he doesn’t know what happened in the past two days.

“No.”

Wen Yue shook her head, looking pitiful and helpless.

“I met the fifth sister this time, but she was just like yesterday. When she heard that I was going to persuade her to go home, she poured water all over me without any explanation and refused to listen to me at all. I… I really had no choice.”
