Chapter 32
Grace was about to go to bed after finishing her evening routine. Just as she finished blow–drying her hair, someone forcefully knocked on the door.
Grace was a little stunned, and she instinctively opened the door.
Cassie at the door tightly pursed her lips, with a rare serious expression.
“Grace, there is a trending topic about you.”
She handed her phone to Grace, and on it, the top few hot searches all had Antonio’s name, including one that said, “Antonio passionately confesses to the female lead Grace, where are you?”
The place was filled with countless photos of Grace, but no one had yet revealed where Grace was.
The expression on Grace’s face froze.
She was puzzled by the results on her phone, and she furrowed her brows as she carefully looked at the trending topics displayed prominently on the screen.
Cassie did not ask further, but just looked at Grace with some concern.
However, she didn’t have much of a reaction, just let out a slight sigh and accepted it.
“It was me, Antonio was my ex, and after we broke up, I immediately went abroad.”
Suddenly hearing this gossip, the room fell silent for a moment, and it was only after a while that Cassie shockingly spoke up.
“Huh? Why would you make such a big fuss even after breaking up? Wouldn’t it just cause you more trouble?”
Grace rubbed her forehead, feeling a bit helpless.
“There were some, but I went abroad, and his family couldn’t go abroad for some reasons, so it wouldn’t have a big impact either.”
Cassie, however, had a serious expression.
“It’s better to be a little more cautious. He seems quite extreme, and someone from the company might recognize you later. Grace, why don’t you wear a hat or something when you go out recently?”
Looking at Cassie, who was genuinely concerned in front of her, she forced a smile.
“It’s okay, anyway he couldn’t go abroad.”

“Take it with you when you go out, it can both provide some shade and protect you from the sun.”

“It’s just an ex–boyfriend, no need to be so nervous.”
“Antonio went crazy in such an important occasion, clearly showing that he is someone with mental issues. I have read a lot of news about ex- boyfriends doing extreme things out of hatred. Grace, I am genuinely
worried that he might bother you and something bad might happen.”
Grace’s heart softened when she heard the little girl, whom she had only known for a few months, showing such concern for her. She reached out and gently held the girl’s hand, giving it a gentle pat..
“We have been together for many years, and although he did many things that hurt me, he shouldn’t have gone to such extremes, let alone harm me. Don’t worry.”
Although she said these words with a smile, Cassie remembered her silence when they talked about her ex–boyfriend a few days ago, and she could vaguely guess that this relationship must have caused her some significant pain.
Cassie didn’t know how to comfort, and no matter how hard she racked her brain, she could only come up with a few words.
“It will pass, Grace. You have already walked out of the mud pit, just look ahead.”
“And we were with you! I have many classmates, if he dared to cause trouble, I would have my classmates and me protect you!”
As she looked into her determined eyes, the anxiety in Grace’s heart slowly dissipated.
She chuckled.
“Okay, thank you! Cassie.”
The days that were once so diflicult to endure have all passed.
Now she is already abroad, with many friends willing to protect her, what is there to worry about?
