Chapter 7
Linda’s voice echoed in my mind, full of pride. “Lyanna, you were brilliant! Your loyal warriors did their job well.”
I straightened my back, staring at the scattered photos. Each one was a dagger slicing through the last remnants of my bond with Kieran.
“I gathered this evidence myself,” I declared to the elders, my voice. steady.
The elders passed the photos around, their expressions darkening with each one they saw.
“Alpha Kieran.” Elder Tobias finally said, his tone grave. “What do have to say for yourself?”

Kieran didn’t respond. He simply stood there, frozen, staring at the images of his betrayal.
A week ago, I would have been desperate for an explanation. But tonight, I didn’t need one.
I turned back to the elders. “I understand that breaking a mate bond is no small matter. But my decision is final. I have already taken steps to leave.”
The room erupted in gasps and murmurs.
“What do you mean?” another elder asked, his brow furrowed.
I reached into my dress pocket and pulled out a document.
The very same transfer request Kieran had unknowingly signed.

I held it up for all to see.
“This,” I announced, “is my transfer approval. Alpha Kieran himself
signed it, allowing me to leave the Crescent Moon Pack and join the Bluet Star Pack.”
Kieran’s head snapped up.
His eyes widened as he took in the document, and for the first time that night, true panic flickered across his face.
“This… this is a mistake,” he said, his voice raw.
“No. Kieran.” I shook my head, meeting his gaze with nothing but cold finality. “The only mistake was thinking I’d stay.”
Thank
bation settled over him like a storm cloud. He had lost.
phina, standing at his side, grew pale. “Lyanna, wait-
“No.” I cut her off sharply. “This isn’t your place to speak.”
She flinched, and for the first time since this all began, I saw fear in her
eyes.
The elders exchanged glances before Elder Tobias nodded.
“Lyanna,” he said, his voice carrying the weight of authority, “as of this moment, you are no longer bound to Alpha Kieran or the Crescent Moon Pack.”
A collective hush fell over the room.
Kieran let out a ragged breath, his hands clenching at his sides.
“Lyanna…” he whispered, almost pleading.

But I turned my back to him.
And walked away.
As I reached the entrance of the hall, a familiar voice called out.
“Lyanna, I’ve come to take you home.”
I looked up.
Standing at the doorway, tall and powerful, was Alpha Darius.
My breath caught.
He had come. Just as he promised.
Without hesitation, I walked toward him.
He held out his hand, and I took it.
The moment my fingers slipped into his, a strange sense of peace washed
over me.
I had made the right choice.
Without looking back, I left the Crescent Moon Pack behind.
And I didn’t regret it.
