Chapter 8
When she woke up again, Kendra found herself in the hospital.
The nurse on the side saw that she woke up and hurried over to examine her.
“Awake? The staff who brought you to the scenic area has already left. Call your family to handle the discharge procedures.
Upon hearing these words, Kendra realized that she had been saved by the staff of the scenic area.
She looked around the empty room and then picked up her phone and opened it.
No phone call, no message.
Remembering the last scene she saw before losing consciousness, Rendra smiled silently and got out of bed, supporting her weak body to handle the procedures
Just as she stepped out of the door and took a few steps, she heard a familiar voice coming from the next ward.
Ar a glance, she saw Beatrice, who was in Ericle’s arms, crying with tears streaming down her face.
“Erick, this time I was really determined to break up with Darlar. I fell into the lake, unable to swim, and he knew it but still ran away. He’s simply not worth it. It was you who saved me, otherwise I would have died in the lake.”
“I knew you liked
Ime for many years, I knew you transferred to Springbell University for me, and I also know you weren’t willingly with Kendra.”
“Before, I was blinded and couldn’t see your goodness, but now I have awakened. Are you willing to be with me?”
In the midst of a heartfelt and tearful confession scene, Erick, however, did not show any excitement or immediately accept the long–awaited confession.
He stood there, silent, as if he were in a daze.
Through a window, Kendra glanced briefly, somewhat surprised, but didn’t think much of it
It was probably too sudden for the surprise to be digested.
But we were always meant to be together.
So she didn’t have the patience to wait for the inevitable happy ending and turned around to go downstairs.
After completing the procedures, the landlord sent a message, reminding her that today was already the day to move out.
She looked at the time, it was 1 o’clock in the afternoon. There was still time, so she decided to take a taci back to her rented house.
The only thing left in the rooms that belonged to her was this box.
In addition, there was the gift box she had recently tidied up, filled with all the gifts Erick had given her over the past two years.
She took out sticky notes and, following the previous search results, labeled each of these gifts with their respective prices.
Starry sky bracelet, 5 dollars each, was the graduation gift he gave to her.
Couple rings, priced at 7 dollars per pair, were the anniversary gift he gave to her on their one–year anniversary
Three pairs of earrings, 9.9 dollars with free shipping, were the birthday gift he gave her.
The dress, priced at 19.9 dollars with free shipping, was the gift he gave her for their two–year anniversary.
A box full of things, It looks shiny and glamorous, but in reality, the total value is less than five hundred dollars.
Over the years, in his eyes.
Just because she was a cheap woman, she only deserved these cheap gifts.
Kendra chuckled self–deprecatingly, put the breakup letter she had written long ago inside, and then covered the box and went to the post office to send it off.
The mailing address was Erick’s villa
After finishing everything. Kendra returned to the rental house and paid an extra month’s cent to the landlord. She asked her to clean up all of Erick’s remaining belongings when she collected the keys.

Anyway, he and Beatrice got together, they won’t come back anymore
After pressing the send button, her WhatsApp received over a dozen messages in a row, all from Erick
Kendra didn’t open it, nor did she read any of the messages. She simply blocked and deleted all of his contact information.
At the same time, Mr. Pratt’s phone rang
“Kendra, we are leaving now. We have already arrived downstairs at your house. Come down, please.”
Without hesitation, Kendra picked up her suitcase and left the rundown rental house that had once been called home
It will never come back again.
