The police arrived quickly. My father began to deny any extortion attempts.
Unexpectedly, Henry pulled out a voice recorder, and my father’s voice played:
“You give the money to your sister first, then dad will give you the things.”
Now my father couldn’t smile anymore.
The police separated us to take statements.
Tina took advantage of the moment to pull me aside.
“What do you mean by this? That’s dad, how could you do this to him?”
I looked at her and sneered.

I looked at her and sneered.
“Didn’t you say he was your dad and had nothing to do with me?”
Tina was suddenly at a loss for words.

I was about to leave when she suddenly grabbed me.
“What’s this?”
I looked down at my collar.
The bite mark Henry had left last night. This was awkward.
Afraid of not being able to hide Henry’s true physical condition, I kept avoiding eye contact.
This behavior, in Tina’s eyes, almost confirmed that I was having an affair.
Tina’s
eyes suddenly lit
up
with excitement.
“You’re cheating on Henry, aren’t you? I’m going to tell him!”
I immediately let go of her hand.
“Go ahead. How do you know this wasn’t left by him?”
“He’s a sickly person. He was coughing on the sofa earlier.”

Although Tina didn’t believe it, she was clearly getting nervous.
“Move aside, or the police might arrest you too.”
After taking statements, the police began explaining the law, making my father and stepmother’s faces turn pale.
In the end, I took all rny belongings and happily left with Henry.
As soon as I helped him into the car, another car slowly drove in.
Seeing me, Jack first looked surprised.
“Fiona, why are you here?”
Then he seemed to realize.
“Oh, you’re visiting your family today, right? Did you come alone?”
Is the whole world watching me make a fool of myself?
pointed to the man sitting in the car.
“Isn’t my husband right here?!”
Jack’s face instantly twisted.

“Fiona, I was wrong before. My mom really did prefer Tina.”
“I don’t care who your mom likes. I should thank you for not marrying me, otherwise how would I have met such a good husband?”
I rolled my eyes and quickly got in the car.
Henry sat in his seat, chuckling.
“Sharp tongue.”
I thought that someone as proud as Jack wouldn’t contact me again.
Unexpectedly, that evening, he sent me a message.
At the time, I was lying in Henry’s arms, trying to resist his attempts to do something inappropriate when my phone buzzed.
I quickly pushed away the man on top of me.
Henry clicked his tongue impatiently and snatched my phone.
“Let’s see who’s ruining my plans.”
As he spoke, he read out each word.
“Fiona, don’t degrade yourself. You can find a better man. You don’t need to find a sickly person to make me jealous. Let go of me.”
Henry finished reading and looked at me with a sinister smile.
Men, why are you so ordinary?
Yet so confident?
Jack and I were together purely because I didn’t know any better back then.
He pursued me, and I mindlessly agreed.
His mom didn’t like me, and that’s when Tina appeared.
Jack discovered that everyone in my family liked Tina.
After realizing that all the family assets would go to Tina in the future, he immediately switched sides.
Hearing my explanation, Henry couldn’t help but laugh loudly.
“Fiona, what kind of messed–up situations have you been in before? Everyone you’ve met is a weirdo.”
Seeing him laugh so uncontrollably, I couldn’t help but retort through gritted teeth.
“It’s not much different now. I’m married to a husband with a huge difference between his public and private personas. Everyone says I married a sickly man, but I’m the one who ends up feeling sick.”
Henry immediately stopped talking.
But his words made me realize something.
When weirdos collide, things get even more interesting.
