But who cares?
Lena and I weren’t going to keep foolishly believing them.
Three months had passed, and we’d been traveling around while avoiding Luke and Tyler.
Now we’d temporarily settled in a small town back home.
This town was actually a tourist destination–lively surroundings with all kinds of facilities.
I immediately rented a small courtyard here, living a comfortable life with Lena.
“Zoe, these past few months have been amazing. I’m so happy.”
Lena held a cup of freshly brewed coffee, speaking in a lazy,
casual tone.
She’d always been someone without much ambition, content wherever she was.
I rolled my eyes at her.
“You really have no standards. This makes you happy?”
Unexpectedly, she shook her head and handed me a warm,

“Zoe, this isn’t enough. These three months have helped me figure things out, but you still haven’t completely let go!
“So…”
Lena drew out the word, flashing a mysterious smile.
I smacked her head directly.

“Spill it! Stop being mysterious!”
She shrank back, becoming honest.

“Tonight the little bar across the street has a band performance. It happens to be your favorite band.
“And besides the show, there’s also a mixer. There’ll definitely be lots of cute guys there. Dress up nicely and try to find yourself a new boyfriend tonight. Stop obsessing over that jerk!”
I was stunned, then burst into laughter.
“Lena, you’re actually helping me find a boyfriend. You really are my good sister.”
Truth was, these three months, I’d never gotten over Luke.
Turns out Lena was no longer that slow, clueless girl. She’d seen

all my disappointment.

That evening, Lena and I dressed up carefully and appeared at the little bar.
Sure enough, my favorite band was on stage. I screamed excitedly, surrounded by fans just like me, many holding light–up support signs.
I was so lucky to see them perform. This band had been around for ages, and their performances were becoming increasingly rare. I thought I’d hardly have another chance to see them live.
Suddenly, someone tapped my shoulder. I turned around to find an unfamiliar cute guy.
He wore a black beanie, trendy baseball jacket and jeans- looked like a college student.
Right now he was beaming with excitement, eyes sparkling as he looked at me.
“Hey there, miss. You like Chasing Fire too?”
Before I could react, Lena beside me gave me a gentle elbow nudge, then quickly answered.
“Yes! Zoe loves this band! You’re a fan too, right? You guys must have tons in common!”

Getting that confirmation, the guy’s eyes lit up even more as he
continued.
“Awesome! Are you here traveling? I’m Ben Dean. I’m a junior here. If there’s anything you want to check out, I can show you around!”
So my love had arrived—I had no reason to refuse him.
We exchanged contact info and listened to the entire concert together.
He enthusiastically bought drinks for Lena and me. His eager attention made Lena secretly giggle several times.
“Zoe, I just remembered my cat at home isn’t asleep yet. I’ll go check on it. You guys have fun!”
Lena smiled as she made up a lame excuse and prepared to leave.
But the moment she opened the door, her smile froze on her face.
At the doorway, an intimidating male voice came through.
“Aren’t you allergic to cat hair? Did you get that cured?”
