Chapter 19

Sophia and Tristan’s wedding was moved up by one month.
In order to reduce contact with Arnold, she moved out of the Melton family’s home, citing increased pre–marriage contact as the reason.
That day, Sophia had just come out of the studio when she was struck heavily on the back of her head. A wave of dizziness hit her, and she fell to the ground unconscious.
When she woke up, Sophia found herself in an old warehouse, her hands and legs tightly bound. She tried to struggle, but couldn’t break free.
Who kidnapped her in the end?
Just then, the warehouse door was pushed open and a familiar figure walked in.
It was her!
Cassandra!
“Sophia, long time no see.”
Cassandra stood in front of her, looking into her eyes filled with hatred and resentment.
The tape on her mouth was removed, and Sophia spoke coldly, “Why did you tie me up here? What do you want to do?”
“What are you doing?”

“Of course I wanted to kill you.”
Cassandra pulled out a fruit knife from her pocket, the tip of the knife scraping against her cheek. Sophia’s heart shook: “You’re a lunatic, do you know that murder is illegal!”
“I knew it, so I wanted to drag you down to hell with me.”
“Sophia, if it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t have been hated by Arnold. Why do you think you can take away my man? Do you know that every night in New York, Arnold is calling your name in his sleep!”
“You bitch, you stole my man, and even caused the death of my child. I can’t hide my hatred for you unless I kill you!”
As soon as the words fell, Cassandra raised her hand to slash her face. Sophia struggled to break free, watching as the fruit knife came closer and closer to her. She exerted all her strength to turn her head and narrowly avoided the blow.
“Cassandra, Arnold and I had broken up a long time ago. Your child’s death has nothing to do with me. You’ve got the wrong person for revenge!”
Seeing that she had already gone mad, Sophia could only use conversation to stall for time.
Sure enough, Cassandra stopped in her tracks when she heard these words: “Sophia, stop pretending to be innocent. Everything I have suffered today is because of you. If it weren’t for your appearance, Arnold would never have forgotten me and fallen in love with you. You are the culprit!”
With that, Cassandra kicked her to the ground.

The pain in her abdomen made Sophia break out in a cold sweat. As she approached herself again, a touch of despair rose in her heart.
Is she really going to die here today?
In a split second, a familiar voice suddenly rang out: “Cassandra, stop!”
The person who came was Arnold.
Since Sophia moved out of the Melton family, Arnold often went to the door of her studio to see if he could see her. But today,
coincidentally, he happened to see her being knocked unconscious and taken away.
Luckily, he arrived just in time.
Seeing his beloved one curled up on the ground, Arnold felt heartbroken.
He stepped forward and snatched the knife from Cassandra’s hand, his eyes darkening: “Cassandra, the situation you are in today is all your own doing. You can’t blame anyone else. I command you to release her now, or I will make you wish you were dead.”
Upon hearing him defend Sophia so passionately, Cassandra stepped forward and grabbed his collar tightly, her eyes filled with madness: “What do you mean I deserve it?”
“Arnold, you were the one who said you would wait for me and never change your mind. But then you fell in love with someone else. You betrayed me and now you’re defending that bitch. In that case, to hell together.”

Before the two could react, Cassandra pulled out a lighter from her pocket and set fire to the pre–poured engine oil in the warehouse. In an
