In an instant, every camera turned toward me.

William practically leaped off the stage, rushing over like he was about to pull me into his arms.
“Cella, I knew you’d come back! You left because you were jealous, right?
‘Don’t worry–as long as you’re alive, you’ll always be Mrs. Garnier!”
Brandon stepped in, holding him back.
I turned to the reporters, gave a brief summary of everything I’d been through, and clearly stated I wanted a divorce.

A few female reporters looked at me with sympathy in their eyes.
William was still drunk on joy, too caught up in my return to hear what I’d said–until the word “divorce” finally registered.
“Divorce? No way. I’m not agreeing to that!”
One of the reporters, clearly familiar with the law, cut in sharply, “Mr. Garnier, you’ve already broken the law. It’s not up to you anymore.”
He struggled to grab me, but Brandon had him locked down, unable to
move.
“Cella, I know you hate Sharon. I’ll send her away right now!” T
He looked around in a panic–no sign of Sharon. But in the back row, he locked eyes with Thiago, who appeared absolutely livid.

Thiago shot a single sharp glare, and William instantly fell silent. He didn’t dare move.
I glanced at that man–the spitting image of William–and my lips curled into a mocking smile.
Thiago walked up and yanked the mic from my hand with a sneer. “This is just some petty domestic drama. No need to air it out in public.
“Marcella, maybe you’ve been orchestrating this from the beginning. Had your eye on the Garnier Group all along, huh? Started spreading rumors about William just so you could take control?”
Just a few words, and suddenly every reporter turned their suspicion on

William’s lips curved into a smug smile. He jumped right in, slow and deliberate. “Cella, if you admit you were wrong, I’ll let it go. You can come home.
“I don’t care what the world says about you.”
I stared at the shameless father and son duo and couldn’t help but laugh from sheer rage.
Brandon’s grip on William’s shoulder tightened.
Only then did William notice the colorful braided charm bracelet on Brandon’s wrist–the one I’d made by hand. For the first time, unease flickered in his eyes.
In the half–month I was gone, no one ironed his shirts or prepared his meals. He’d hired three maids, and not a single one could compare.
Sharon moved in, offering to take care of him. But within days, she lied
and left.

It was then he realized—I was the only one in the world who had truly loved him.
He couldn’t stand the idea of my love belonging to someone else. So no matter what, he had to keep me. Divorce was never an option.
But I’d already seen through him. I tossed a thick stack of documents in front of Thiago.
They were records of every Jallot–backed project that propped up the Garnier Group. Inside was the core tech–one wrong move and the whole company would collapse.
“Divorce me, or I pull the plug,” I said coldly.
William froze, stunned.
He always thought I was just a housewife, dabbling in work for fun. He never imagined I had access to this level of control.
Furious, Thiago swept the papers off the table. “Absurd! Who do you think you are, threatening the Garnier family?”
I bent down, picked up one document, and calmly placed it in front of him.
“Before you get angry, Sir Garnier, maybe take a look at this first.”
The reporters couldn’t see the paper–only his face, which drained of color with every passing second.
At last, he looked up, voice hoarse. “William, divorce her. Now.”
