When she opened her eyes again, she found herself back on the day of her grandfather’s funeral.[]

She could no longer dare to love him.[]
The man had deep and defined features, exuding an air of aloof nobility. His black eyes held a complex and somber emotion.[]
Dressed in a black suit, with a white flower pinned to his chest, he walked slowly to her side, standing still as they both bowed to the mourners.
Eva learned that Sean had returned through a post on her social media.

Three years had passed, and Sean seemed more mature.[]
Although he had hated her grandfather to the core, standing by her side now, he wore an expression of sorrow.

“Please accept my condolences,” the sound of high heels caught her attention, and when she looked up, she saw Megan.
Megan was speaking to her, but her gaze was mostly directed at Sean.
They had returned from abroad together, Eva knew.
They had left together, and now they had come back together. Even though she held the marriage certificate in her hand, Sean was already beyond her reach
“Thank you.” Eva nodded and bowed slightly to her.
No matter what, in such a setting, Eva had to maintain the proper etiquette and dignity.
Besides, the had nothing left now. She couldn’t afford to show her face to anyone.[]

“Why didn’t you call me?” As the guests slowly dispersed and the venue became quiet again, Sean took off the white flower from his chest and glanced at Eva faintly.

She sighed lightly and looked at Sean again. “Are you in a hurry to go back?“]
After a pause, she added, “I mean, are you in a hurry to return abroad?”
“I’m not going back. The company needs me to help.“[]
“Okay, then.” Eva nodded. “You can wait a few days for me. Once I finish up my work, I’ll find you.“[]
Sean looked at her, raising an eyebrow slightly, not quite understanding the meaning behind her words.
“If you’re really in a hurry, you can prepare the documents, sign them, and send them to my grandfather’s company. I’ll be there these days.“]
Sean lowered his gaze to her, and it dawned on him–Eva was talking about divorce.
