Chapter 6 Ex–Husband?
Nathan held two glasses of alcohol, then handed one over to Sean, casually sitting beside him.[]
Sean took the glass in silence, raised it, and took a sip.[]
“I heard that you went to the old master of the Fu family’s funeral a few days ago?” Nathan said, clinking his glass with Sean’s, then unconsciously glanced in Eva’s direction.
Sean followed his gaze, and Eva was sitting in the corner of the sofa, chatting and laughing with someone.
“You two were once married, weren’t you? Not even a greeting?” Nathan nudged Sean with his shoulder, teasing him.
“It won’t be for long,” Sean shrugged and let out a helpless smile.
“Ah,
the guy next to her, who is he? He looks a bit familiar, but I can’t remember who he is,” Nathan turned his head to investigate. This circle isn’t too big or too small, and some people you’ve seen before, while others are only heard about. There are so many people in this private room that it’s actually hard to remember who is who.
Sean curled his lips but didn’t respond. He placed his glass down, glanced toward the open balcony, and said, “I’m going out for a smoke.”
Nathan shrugged, downed his drink, and then watched Sean head toward the balcony.
After a moment, Sean came back, his cigarette still in hand. He glanced at the corner where Eva had been sitting, but she was no longer there, and the young man who had been chatting with her was also gone.[]
“Where is she?” Sean sat back down next to Nathan, asking him.
“Who?” Nathan asked, confused. He paused for a moment before realizing, “The one who’s about to become your ex–wife?“]]
“She went out with that young guy,” Nathan raised an eyebrow and grinned, “I have to say, she’s finding her backup quicker than you.”
“Shut up,” Sean shot him a look.[]
“Heh,” Nathan chuckled, clearly enjoying himself, “Don’t lie, that guy isn’t bad looking.“]
Nathan kept joking around, then suddenly slapped his leg, “Wait, is he the young man from the Harris family?”
“Luke,” Nathan snapped his fingers, certain now.

“Is it Luke?” Nathan looked over at Sean.
Nathan’s words seemed to ring a bell for Sean.[]
“I’m going out for a bit,” Sean frowned slightly and stood up, heading for the door of the private room.
“Hey, where are you going?” Nathan watched him leave and couldn’t help but shout.[]
His shout caught the attention of several people, and Lily, who had been drinking with some others, turned around when she heard it. Nathan met her gaze and nodded slightly, offering a silent greeting.
Nathan and Lily knew each other, but they weren’t close. Nathan was Sean’s friend, and given the way Sean treated Eva, Lily didn’t particularly care for him.]

Chapter 6 Ex–Husband?
When Sean left the bar, he happened to see Eva getting into Luke’s car.
After Luke opened the car door for Eva, he went around to the driver’s side. But as he reached for the door, it was quickly pressed down.
“Who is it?” Luke turned around, looking somewhat displeased at the person behind him.]
“I need to talk to her,” Sean glanced at Eva, who was sitting in the passenger seat.
“We’ll talk later, I have something to discuss with Master Harris first.“[]
Eva politely pushed open the car door and got out, then looked back at Sean through the car.
“What are you talking about? Even if you chat with him until morning, he won’t give you the three million. As for us, we can still continue discussing that topic.“]
Eva was referring to their divorce.
“Mm,” Eva lowered her gaze, hesitated for a couple of seconds, and then sponta

She paused again and added, “I need to talk to my ex–husband for a bit.“]
