Chapter 8 Not Planning to Bring It Up First
When Nathan came out of the bar, Sean was leaning against the car, smoking.]
“Well, I thought you’d already left,” when Nathan saw Sean, he walked closer to the car, resting his elbow on the roof and lightly tapping the top with his fingertips.
“I was about to leave,” Sean looked up at him, then extinguished the cigarette. He continued, “But I had a drink, so I’m waiting for the designated driver.“]]
“Ah, you really are different since coming back from abroad, being so responsible?” Nathan chuckled as he covered his mouth, took a breath, and smelled the alcohol, then laughed, “I think I’m fine after just a couple of drinks.“]
After saying that, Nathan leisurely prepared to turn away.[]
“Hey, let me take you. You’re an adult now, but you’re still hanging around the edges of the law with that spoiled kid from the Harris family?”

Nathan turned his head to look at him, clearly amused, but finally smiled and opened the car door, getting in.
“Where’s your ex–wife?” After getting in, Nathan started teasing again.]]
“She left,” Sean answered calmly, then paused and added, “Strictly speaking, she’s not technically my ex–wife yet.“[]
When he said this, Nathan shrugged nonchalantly, “Well, that’s just a matter of time.“[]
“Sigh, is this rush to leave because Megan didn’t show up? Getting bored?” Nathan looked at Sean with a teasing smile, clearly curious.[]
Sean curled his lips but didn’t answer, his demeanor showing he didn’t want to engage.
A few friends had planned to meet today, but Megan had informed him in advance that she couldn’t make it due to some things.
Nathan glanced at him, then laughed, “You two are a good match. Anyway, aren’t you getting a divorce soon? Why not go ahead and…?
“Enough,” Sean frowned, rolling his eyes at him, “Don’t joke around like that. I don’t have anything going on with her.“[]
Many people had made jokes about him and Megan in the past, thinking they were a perfect match, especially with how close they were. Their frequent time spent together made people believe they were in a relationship.
Eva had thought the same, which is why she had assumed that her grandfather’s pressure to get her married to Sean was because she was afraid if the let go, Sean would be completely lost to her.]
Of course, the reality showed that getting married didn’t change anything.
“Alright, take your time, no rush Long live single life!” Nathan smiled, proudly flaunting his single status.[]

eyes.
Sean pursed his lips, not replying to that comment. He saw the designated driver coming toward them from the corner of his eye. He promptly opened the car door and got out, walking over to talk to the driver.[]
In truth, Sean didn’t feel the need to get divorced from Eva. But at the same time, he didn’t mind it either.[]
