Chapter 9
During summer break, I brought Noah back to my hometown.
That very night, I came out to my parents, but they strongly opposed my relationship with Noah.
My parents treated Noah poorly every day.
Despite this, Noah would come to my house daily to cook, do laundry, clean, plant vegetables, buy furniture for my home, purchase health supplements for my parents, and take them shopping. He devoted himself to caring for my family.
Each time he visited, he would bring snacks for the villagers who enjoyed chatting, or simply keep them company. When playing cards with my parents, he deliberately let them win every time.
Finally, after a summer of persistent effort, he won the hearts
of everyone in the village. My parents eventually accepted our relationship.
Noah was so excited that he lifted me up and spun me around. Afterward, we lay together on the grass. He held my hand tightly, our fingers intertwined, as we gazed up at the same starry sky.
Noah’s voice reached my ears, “Evan, I love you so much.”
I smiled and responded, “I love you just as much.”

He laughed. “Then let’s get married.”

The next moment, fireworks suddenly exploded across the sky. In the midst of the dazzling display, Noah produced a bouquet of roses. He knelt on one knee, holding up a ring.
Amidst the booming fireworks, he asked loudly, “Evan Mason, will you marry me?”
My eyes grew moist with emotion as I excitedly shouted back, “Yes, I will!”
The passionate love between two young men transformed into a tender, lingering kiss in that moment. We both understood in our hearts that no more words were needed to prove how much I loved him.
A single glance and an irresistible kiss conveyed all our love.
