Chapter 21
Kol’s POV
“Jesus” I cursed as Lacy pushed me off her again. She turned to me with a face full of fury.
“What the hell are you doing?” She cursed and tried to push me down, but I grabbed her forearm and pulling her into my arms.
She screamed, flailing her limbs around. Her hand hit the pile of books on her bedside table knocking them down alongside the
alarm cock.
The loud crash was definitely heard downstairs. We froze
staring at each other, sure enough, Melina’s cat heels which she wore around the house echoed as she arrived at Lacy’s door and
knocked.
“Lacy, are you okay in there?”
“I’m fine mom. Just got mad at my books” Lacy replied, glaring at me. I plopped onto the bed resisting the urge to let out a loud laughter due to Lacy’s lame excuse.
“Be more careful. Good night” Melina cautioned, stifling a yawn, her footsteps echoed away until we couldn’t hear it anymore.

Lacy held her breath, her gaze darking. I held her hips tighter
and moved quicker until both of us cum together. She exhaled,
plopping atop me tiredly. Her soft blonds spilled over my chest
and neck, tickling me.
I took in a couple of deep whiffs of her soft chamomile scent
and drifted off to sleep with her.
Lacy’s POV
I was reluctant to let go of Jim, hugging him way longer than
supposed hiding my face in his chest. While everyone thought I
was like that because I would miss my ‘boyfriend‘. I was actually
just hugging him much longer because I couldn’t hug Kol like
that even if I longed to do that.
“It’s okay. It’s just for a while “Mom consoled me by rubbing my
back. I pulled away from Jim and glanced at Kol, he glared at
me in return.
The way he looked at me was dark and intense, making my
knees weak. The tears in my eyes were real, but they weren’t for
Jim–they were for Kol.
I couldn’t believe this was goodbye.
Kol’s car was packed to the roof with both of their stuff. I couldn’t believe the summer was over already and he would be

going back to school.
Tomorrow I was going to college as well. Unlike Kol, I couldn’t
take my bestfriend with me but we could talk and see each
other on Zoom.
“Here, a gift for you” Kol handed me a wrapped gift that he
pulled out of I–don’t–know–where.
“Oh you even prepared a gift for her” Mum awed looking happy
like she was the one that received the gift.
“Best of luck in college, little sister ” His last words gave me a
familiar sensation.
I looked down at it in surprise–a gift from Kol. Though my
birthday was far away, it was wrapped in birthday paper. I took
the square package from his hands and tore it open.
Inside were books–brand–new copies of the two paperback
books he and Jim had torn in half.
“Thank you” my lips quivered as I blinked away my tears. I
looked up at him and gave him a wide smile that surely looked
funny.
“See you soon” Jim blinked at me, I smiled.
“Your relationship is about to go through the test of distance

David uttered encouragingly looking at Jim and me.
“But I believe you two can work it out,” he added, his eyes
lingering on Jim.
“Yes. We will work it out,” I replied.
They soon boarded the car and I couldn’t stop waving at them.
with a giddy heart, holding the books to my chest. My cheeks
were flaming with anxiousness as I made a promise to myself
silently.
I will visit their school whenever I can. And… Kol will visit me too.
I just know we would figure it out anyway, and also summon up
the courage to be public with our relationship. Until then, I will
be hopeful.
“This was a wonderful summer, I would say. I’m glad you and
Kol are getting along again.” Mum stated happily as we walked
back into the house.
“Yeah,mom” I smiled at her, “We really are.”
