“And you still have the nerve to buy groceries?”
Chloe’s eyes reddened from the scolding, but she silently walked towards the kitchen.
“Wait!” Liam suddenly stood up. “Clean up the living room before you start cooking!”
“It’s a complete mess in here, are you blind?”
“I never should have taken you in; I should have just let you die!”
Watching Chloe timidly tidy the room, I couldn’t help but shake my head.
But I didn’t feel any sympathy for her.
After all, this was her own choice.
(However, I absolutely wouldn’t tolerate them taking advantage of me.
I pulled out my phone and dialed the police. “I’d like to report a trespassing.”

Twenty minutes later, a police car arrived.
8:55 PM

I stood by the door, watching the officer knock.
When Liam opened the door, he clearly froze at the sight of the officer. “What do you want?”
The officer said sternly, “We received a report of trespassing. Are you the owner of this house?”
“Of course,” Liam said, his voice full of entitlement. “This house is mine.”
The officer then held out his hand to him. “In that case, please show me the property deed.”
Just then, Julian and I walked up from nearby.
I held the property deed in my hand and said to the officer with a smile, “I’m the one who called the police. I’m the homeowner.”
Liam saw me and was completely stunned. “Aria? Why are you back without telling me? I would have picked you up!”
I retorted, “Mr. Sterling, are you a stray dog? Don’t you have your own home? Why are you just living in my house?”
Liam panicked, immediately pointing at Chloe and changing his tune. “It’s not me! It’s her!”
“She said we could move in!”
Chloe looked frantically from me to Liam, stammering, “Sister Aria said I could stay here temporarily when she left!”
She grabbed my arm, tears instantly flowing. “Sister Aria, didn’t you sponsor me? How could you not even give me a place to live?”
“Are you saying that your sponsorship was just for show, and you weren’t really doing a good deed?”
Her words made me furious, but I managed a sarcastic laugh.
I shook off her hand, pointing at the wedding photos hanging on the living room wall inside the house. “Do you have no hands or feet? You’re an adult, why should I still be funding you?”
“When you were secretly taking wedding photos with Liam behind my back, did you ever think about how I once helped you?”
Seeing this, Liam immediately jumped in to clear his name. “Aria, I was tricked by her into taking those wedding photos! I don’t love
her at all!”
“You’re lying!” Chloe shrieked in protest. “You clearly said you’d marry me!”
“When did I ever say I’d marry you? Don’t you dare slander me!”
The two of them squabbled in front of the officer, like two mad dogs tearing at each other.
I watched their ugly display with cold eyes, finding it utterly ridiculous.
Ultimately, the officer’s investigation also revealed that Chloe had pawned some of my jewelry during her stay to get money.
I immediately demanded that they vacate my house and compensate me for all losses.
A month later, a major business conference was held at the city’s largest convention center.
I walked into the venue with Julian’s arm linked in mine, my baby bump now visibly showing.
From afar, I saw people from the Sterling, Hayes, and Collins families.
They weren’t draped in designer clothes and jewels like before; their attire was much plainer, but they were still trying to band

together, attempting to save their companies.
Halfway through the meeting, a loud commotion suddenly erupted.
I turned my head and saw a bearded Liam, disheveled, forcing his way in.
He rushed directly to his parents, crying, “Dad! Mom! I finally found you! How could you be so cruel, abandoning your own son?!”
Liam’s parents‘ faces changed drastically, and people around them cast strange glances.
It seemed Liam was truly desperate.
