Chapter 10
Zachary heard me, standing in my white wedding dress, smiling as I said “I do” to Calvin.
“No! Queenie! You can’t marry him!”
His heart felt like it had shattered, and a wave of pain rushed through his whole body like electricity. He dropped to his knees on the red carpet.
The man who had always seemed calm and untouchable now looked like someone lost in a storm. Staying on the ground, his voice cracked as he pleaded, “Honey, please don’t divorce me I never wanted that. Don’t marry someone else.”
I looked down at him, my eyes full of clear disgust. “Zachary, considering that your grandpa sent me a gift, I can barely forgive your ridiculous. behavior for interrupting my wedding.
“But you’re not invited to my wedding with Calvin. Please leave.”
My cold words brought tears to Zachary’s eyes.
“Queenie, I know I was wrong. Please, give me just one more chance. I promise I’ll change.
“I can’t imagine life without you. Since you’ve been gone, I think about you every day–even in my dreams, I remember everything good you did.
for me.
“Queenie, no one loves you more than I do…”
He spoke with such desperation, pouring out his emotions in front of

everyone.
His face twisted with pain, veins visible on his forehead as he yanked off his shirt and pointed to a bleeding moon tattoo. His voice shook. “You’re my moon, honey. I’ll agree to anything–just don’t leave me!”
But when he saw me cover my mouth and laugh instead of feeling moved, he was completely stunned.
I met his distraught eyes and said calmly, “Zachary, I have someone else who truly loves me, and I love him as well. That man is my husband,
Calvin.
“And as for you, even if every man in this world disappeared, I still wouldn’t choose you.”
Zachary could only watch as I smiled and let the blushing Calvin slide a sparkling nine–carat diamond ring onto my finger.
He stood frozen like the blood in his body had turned to ice.
Hand in hand with Calvin, I walked past Zachary.
With joy written all over my face, I let Calvin lift me in his arms and carry me like a princess toward the honeymoon car parked outside.
Zachary, who had been left behind, suddenly did something shocking.
He grabbed the silver cake knife and shouted at me with tears.
“You’re just scared of getting hurt again! But it’s okay. I’ll show you my true heart!”
Without hesitation, he plunged the blade into his chest, shaking from the pain.

“Queenie, look at this. My heart’s always been yours!
“Please, just turn around and see how much I love you!”
I heard his desperate voice and painful cries, but I didn’t look back.
Instead, I leaned sweetly against Calvin and said coquettishly, “Darling, this man’s completely lost it. Please take me away from here.”
Calvin quickly carried me out of the church and helped me into the passenger seat of his sports car.
“Let’s run away together.”
“Sounds perfect.”
Smiling with joy, I rested my head on his shoulder as he hit the gas, driving us straight toward our happily ever after.
The end.
