Chapter 20
With this in mind, he slowly raised his head and looked at Eileen with determination. “Eileen, rest assured, I will definitely help you and Gideon. avenge your enemy. Once we find Paula, her days are numbered!”
Upon hearing this, Eileen sighed helplessly. She never expected that, to this day, Julius would still be so stubborn, even trying to push all the blame onto Paula.
Eileen smiled slightly, slowly stood up, walked over to Julius, and slapped him hard across the face. “Julius, how dare you! You have no conscience! How could you blame all of this on Paula? Are you even a man?”
Julius was stunned by her slap, he furrowed his brow and looked at
Eileen in pain, “Eileen, what are you saying? Am I really such a person in your heart?”
“Of course not!” Eileen snapped, looking up at him with gritted teeth. “You can only be more despicable than this!”
“Even if you had no idea about these things, did you provoke Paula?”
“You having me was not enough, you had to go and provoke her, pushing our happy home into the abyss.”
“It’s all your fault! You are the one who started it all! How else do you want to defend yourself?”
After finishing speaking, Julius stood frozen in place for a moment.
His hand covering his face slowly fell, and eventually quickly slapped his own cheek.

Eileen looked at him coldly and then slammed the divorce agreement in front of him. “Sign it as soon as possible. I’ll come to pick it up.
tomorrow.”
Watching Eileen’s quickly disappearing figure, Julius felt a sharp pain in his heart.
He stared blankly at the ceiling, suddenly understanding Eileen’s words.
Yes, he was the instigator of all these things.
His leg was broken for no reason!
Julius wiped away the tears from the corner of his eye and was about to call his assistant when the phone rang. “Is this Julius, Mr. Swanton? The suspect who harmed you has been caught. Please come to the police station as soon as possible to help us with the remaining matters.”
Julius tugged at the corner of his mouth, feeling a sudden sense of relief in his heart.
He called for his assistant and booked a flight back to his country the next day.
Before leaving, he signed the divorce agreement and left it with the hospital receptionist, instructing her to make sure it was delivered to Eileen.
When Julius arrived in the country, it was already midnight. He didn’t have time to rest and went straight to the police station.
As soon as I walked in, the officer in charge of this case came up to greet
- me.
According to him, when Paula was caught, she was begging on the street, already mentally unstable, likely due to some kind of shock.

“Would you like to meet the perpetrator? the police officer asked tentatively.”
Julius shook his head. “No need. By the way, I have some evidence of her persecuting others. Could you all please take it to the prosecutor’s office together and file a lawsuit?”
After dealing with Paula’s matters, Julius went to the company.
Actually, on his way back to the country, he had already made up his mind to sell the Swanton Group.
He will never be able to fully repay what he owes to Eileen and her son in this lifetime, so he can only compensate them more financially.
Half a month later, Julius signed the contract to sell the Swanton Group, and he transferred all the proceeds to Eileen.
The moment she received the money, Eileen received a call from Julius. “Eileen, I am sorry for everything in this lifetime. This money is my compensation for you and your son. There is just one more thing I want to ask of you.”
“You said, Eileen’s voice was devoid of any emotion.”
“I wanted to ask you to help me take care of Archie. You know, Paula is gone, and I am in this state. Archie was raised by you, and he always thinks of you…”
After a long silence, Eileen finally agreed, “The child is not at fault, it’s you adults who are wrong. I will bring Archie to my side and take good care of him, so don’t worry.”
Upon hearing Eileen say this, Julius finally felt relieved.
He slowly hung up the phone and climbed onto the rooftop of the company the next second.
