Chapter 3
A month ago, Gianna had already started planning this wedding.
Because a month ago… she was reborn.
She already knew what was going to happen–that on her wedding day, Arnold would run off to his first love. That she would be left behind, humiliated, and become the biggest joke in the whole city.
So, she planned every step of this wedding with care.
When she thought back on her last life, her heart twisted with pain and hatred.
She never imagined she’d die in such a brutal way.
Marrying Arnold wasn’t the start of a happy life–it was the beginning of a nightmare.
After they got married, he was never home.
On her birthday, their anniversary, every holiday big or small–he was always with Delia.
And she? She was always left alone. Stuck in an empty house. Sometimes he’d even lash out at her with harsh words.
She was kidnapped just days before her birthday.
And truth be told, ever since Rosie came into their family, she’d never truly had a birthday again
Rosie’s birthday was just one day earlier than hers.
So every year, their parents would throw a party for Rosie, and say they were “celebrating both.” But there was always only one cake. One party. And one star of the show–and it was never her.
A few days before her birthday, when she was kidnapped, she called Arnold for help.
But he was with Delia and didn’t care at all. He just yelled at her.
Then she tried calling her parents. Her three older brothers. But not one of them came to save her.
They said, “Gianna, what kind of nonsense are you up to this time?”
They said, “Gianna, can’t you be more sensible like Rosie?”
They said, “Gianna, this is exactly why we don’t like you–you’re always so selfish!”
They said, “You keep saying something bad is gonna happen to you? Then go ahead–let’s see it happen! Always saying Rosie hurt you–she’s a hundred times kinder than you! You’re just bitter and poisonous!”
Then Gianna died.
She was tortured to death. Her body was broken in every way.
Even though she had been reborn for a whole month now, she still didn’t dare think about those final days of her first life.
Whenever she did, her whole body would shiver with fear. It was too much to bear. She couldn’t relive it, even in her mind.
After she died, her soul wandered for a while.
That’s when she found out–it was Rosie who set her up.
It was Rosie who sold her to that place.
She wanted to be the one and only young lady of the Carlton family, so she made sure Gianna was destroyed.

And their parents? Always stood by Rosie’s side.
No matter what Gianna said, they didn’t believe her.
They said she was making up lies. That she was jealous. That she was too vicious.
Even her three older brothers–the same ones who used to dote on her when she was little–started siding with Rosie after she came into the family.
She had healed her eldest brother’s legs. Saved her second brother’s life. Helped her third brother become a superstar.
But they didn’t believe her.
All they saw was Rosie. And they were convinced she was the one who saved them.
Later, when they found out Gianna was dead—
They said a woman who’d been raped like her was better off dead anyway. Living would only bring shame.
In the end, it was Kathryn and the others found her body
And it was Brendan who carried her broken corpse out of that hellhole with his own hands.
Brendan arranged her funeral. Sat in front of her memorial for days and nights.
