I turned around and saw Vincent, covered in dust, coming back.
I stared at Hezekiah tightly, holding my hand.
I didn’t speak, looking at the bloodshot eyes in his eyes and Yaritza standing behind him, buried in Hezekiah’s arms, not wanting to look anymore..
Hezekiah looked at the two people in front of him, a hint of mockery crossing his eyes, “What I do, is none of Mr. Stratakos‘ business, right?”
Vincent approached and tried to grab my hand, attempting to pull me out.
But Hezekiah turned me around to avoid him and then let
go of my hand.
Vincent’s hands were trembling, and he quickly stood in front of me, saying, “Reina, don’t be afraid, I’m here”
Vincent tried to calm down his tone.
“Reina, she was my fiancée. Mr. Hennen, holding my fiancée like thi
like this, shouldn’t you give me an explanation?”
Looking at the man who protected me behind him, my heart was filled with mixed emotions.
Over the past year, whenever we had a disagreement because of Yaritza, he would always stand up for her and say the same thing to me.
