Wait, he’s not telling me to leave?

Watching her reaction, Theodore couldn’t help but think about how many times the Sterling family must’ve pushed her around.
His hatred for them flared up even more.
Seeing how soft–hearted Sabrina was, his determination. softened.
He quickly stepped in to clear things up. “No need to apologize. Did you hurt your hand?”
He glanced at the red mark on Felicity’s face, curious about how hard Sabrina had slapped her.
Sabrina’s eyes went wide in surprise. “You’re not even going to ask why I slapped her?”
Back at the Sterling Villa, whenever drama happened, Matthew never listened to her side. He’d just force her to apologize. Sabrina had gotten used to it.
“She deserved it, right? You said so yourself.” Theodore shrugged it off like it was no big deal.

He’d gone through the security footage from the day before and could clearly see that Felicity had been the one to stir up trouble.
He watched the footage with a stony expression. The moment he saw Felicity going off on Sabrina, he felt his blood run cold.
After watching the video, Theodore wasted no time in calling Julian over.
“Tell Felicity not to show up tomorrow. Make it clear that anyone who hires her is going against Fridman Group,” he ordered.
Julian was about to agree when a thought suddenly popped into his head.
“Mr. Theodore Fridman, you were the one who brought Felicity on board,” he reminded.
“So what?” Theodore looked at him, clearly not getting his drift.
“You said she had some serious professional chops,” Julian continued.
Theodore chuckled. “Sure, she’s good, but we’ve got plenty of interns like her.”
Fridman Group doesn’t need any interns who don’t know their place, especially not someone using my recommendation to undermine her peers.
Meanwhile, Sabrina had just reached school, and the list of seat

numbers for the exam was already up on the board.

She saw that she was in the sixth–last spot, right ahead of Jane.
The moment Jane caught sight of Sabrina, her eyes lit up like Christmas lights.
“Rina! Those notes you gave me were way better than anything the teacher said!”
As the exam loomed, Jane remembered the notes Sabrina had
shared.
Out of boredom, she skimmed a few pages, and suddenly, those tricky concepts clicked.
After pulling two all–nighters, she’d managed to plow through half of the notes.
While Jane was ecstatic, Sabrina was cool as a cucumber. “Told you, no way they’re kicking you out.”
Jane waved off Sabrina’s words, but deep down, those pre–exam jitters had taken a nosedive.
Before long, the invigilator strutted into the classroom, and a hush fell over the exam hall.
When Sabrina got her exam paper, memories from her past life hit her like a tidal wave.
Sabrina breezed through the exam. Having studied the material

In her past life, showing talent meant Hailey and Bama made her life hell. It was maddening to be blamed for things she never
did.
Eventually, she played the role of the Sterling, family good–for–nothing girl.
But not anymore. She was done being pushed around.
How would Brianna handle it this time?
Sabrina could hardly wait to see the look on Brianna’s face after this month’s exam.
The next day, after the tests, students returned to their classrooms.
Jane was bouncing off the walls with excitement. She threw her arms around Sabrina.
“Rina, I love you! I really think I’m off the hook this time and won’t get expelled!”
Jane had never experienced an exam going so well. In the past, exams had always been a total nightmare for her.
“Alright, enough about me. How’d you do?” Jane suddenly asked.

“Pretty good,” Sabrina responded, a touch of self–assurance in her smile.
“That’s awesome! We can still be classmates!” Jane beamed with
joy.
They were oblivious to the hostile stare from afar.
After school, Sabrina saw a sleek black Phantom waiting.
Theodore was there to pick her up.
Sabrina opened the car door and slid into the luxurious interior.
“What brings you here?”
“Is it a problem that I’m here to pick you up?” he shot back, sounding unusually blunt this time.
“Not at all,” Sabrina said, keeping her cool.
But her slight smile betrayed her happiness.
Theodore noticed and chuckled softly, amused.
This little thing sure knows how to put up a feisty front.
“Judging by your look, I guess the exam went well?” he asked, immediately regretting his words as soon as they left his mouth.
He remembered the reports Julian had shared, which showed that Sabrina had been at the bottom of her class for the past six

What if I accidentally tick her off?

Just as Theodore was about to blurt out some comforting words, Sabrina suddenly exclaimed, “I’ll get the first place in the grade!”
She held her head high, with pride oozing from her eyes.
“Uhh… that would be pretty good,” Theodore said, blinking in surprise.
But he decided not to question her about it.
Even if her grades suck, it’s all good. I’ve got enough dough to hire tutors if she wanna go to college.
Or if she’s over this whole studying thing, she can just jet off abroad.

Later that evening, Sabrina was on her way upstairs when her phone started ringing.
It was Jane.
They were regular chatters, but when she saw the caller ID, wave of unease washed over her, so she quickly hit the answer

Sabrina’s tone instantly turned frosty. “Get to the point. Where are you?”
“At your bestie’s store. I’ll send you the address.”
As soon as Sabrina got the info she needed, she hung up.
Half an hour later, she pulled up at the place.
There was a small mob gathered outside, and Sabrina muscled her way through.
